Yesterday, we brought you the story of Brandon Showalter's disappearance and probable eviction off of the Big Brother 4 show. It seems like the mystery behind what really happened to Brandon grows stranger by the moment. Here's what BigBrotherUpdates has found out so far.

Brandon's messages on his personal website have changed throughout the day. As of now, not only is Brandon missing, but his personal website surfingbarrels.com has been shut down. Was it shut down by Brandon, Arnold Shapiro or is it just a case of the site getting so many hits that the server couldn't handle all the traffic and it's just temporarily down? That's a question that I can't answer right now. However, here's a look back at the messages that Brandon (or perhaps someone acting as Brandon) posted on his site.
First message:
If your here to find out why I was axed from the Reality show BigBrother4, sorry but your going to have to wait until I get the OK from Arnold to speak my mind. I will be happy to hook anyone up with any answers once I'm sure that I'm in the clear.
Later the message changed to this one:
First off bb4bbq.com, That was not me in your chat room but someone posing as me. I'm not sure what information this person provided to you, but it must have been something that leaked or was public knowledge. Until I have a chance to properly provide you with an interview I would appreciate your respect and remove the interview. That's a scary thought that someone has all the information about me already.

This site is under construction (i never really get around to it) so most these pictures are pretty old.
A while later the message changed to this one:
"I can summarize. Basically I was not going to sacrifice my integrity by slutting around on the show. Although the "sound bite" on promo's has me stating that I'm going to flirt to manipulate other HG's, the producers were quick to notice my loyalty to my lady. I think the mold they were looking for looked like me, but had no morals. During the preliminary interviews with producers, I told them that me and my girl were parting ways. Things did not go that way and they found out. Throughout the week in sequestering they came to realize how committed I was. I think they wanted to stir the pot sexually, now I'm sure of it by seeing how they angled my interview comments. I'm not the playboy they had anticipated. Looking at the bright side of things. I still have my summer ahead of me, my 10 year HS reunion in 3 weeks, and I still have my integrity."
Before the website was taken down this one appeared:
Yes I was pulled from the Reality show BigBrother4 but hands are tied at the moment. I can't say much, besides the fact I'm pulled.
I really want to clear the air, since the rumors circulating are ridiculous.
I’m going surfing now to get away from this damn computer. lol
The BB site where the mystery began BB4BBQ is still claiming that it was indeed Brandon who came into their chat room last night. They claim this because in the last message that appeared on his site (see above) that he was no longer denying being the "chatter." They have also posted that they have spoken to him on the telephone and that he said the following: "We asked if he had spoken to Arnold Shapiro, he said yes, he had talked with him earlier today. Arnold is going to get his lawyers in touch with Brandon about what he can and cannot say to the press/BB fan sites.
Brandon also said that visiting BB websites has been depressing. He says in the next few days he will be writing a document that will explain what went on and what is happening so that we will al know. He will distribute it to a couple sites that haven't "dissed him" on Wednesday. The reason he's waiting is that he's hoping the attention is taken off him and put on the show instead. (credit to BB4BBQ for that quote.) There is more to that article.. but it's a personal opinion of the author. Therefore, I won't include it in my story. Instead for what it's worth, I'll give you mine.
I find myself being somewhat confused and perplexed with this whole situation. My common sense tells me that the person in the chat room was probably not Brandon and the same could be said for the person who is/was posting the messages on Brandon's personal website. It's very possible that if the person in the chat was an imposter, Brandon's website could have been hacked and used to bring about this flurry of activity before the Big Brother 4 premiere on Tuesday or it could have just been someone seeing the opportunity and using it to have a good laugh. If "the chatter" was indeed Brandon and he's been updating his website, then it would seem that somehow Brandon slipped through the cracks and loopholes of Big Brothers rules and took a chance to give his 15 minutes of fame a kick start.
One thing is certain, the Big Brother sites and message boards are filled with intrigue and drama. The two ingredients that make the Big Brother series so popular. The show premieres on Tuesday, July 8th, until then we will keep you updated on any information that we find out about Brandon and all the rest of the BB4 houseguests.
