Timewaster's Opinion - 'Blame the Production Staff, not Scott'

Blame the staff; Scott was a pawn. Moved, manipulated, and sacrificed for ratings. I fidgeted a bit over whether to present a humorous slant on what actually appears to me to be much closer to tragic than comic. If Scott, or anyone else had been injured last night, this would have been a TRULY serious article. That no one was, in my mind, is a reflection of luck, and timing.

Once the switch was thrown, that was no longer Scott in charge, and if anyone had been in the general area, it could have easily developed into something far more HARMFULLY dramatic in the space of a heartbeat.

I’m not generally prone to adopting a hard stance on one side of the fence or another, but in the aftermath period of this nastiness I assign blame squarely where it rightfully belongs; with the production staff.

Not because of the silly little over hyped X Factor, but due to the fact that Scott Weintraub had no business being part of the equation in the first place. Whether his ex was in the house is wholly irrelevant as to the point that this is one show that works against Scott’s inherent nature and the way he relates to others in the worst possible way.

I saw on one posted article that the production staff were insinuating if not flatly stating that Scott had lied regarding either the anti anxiety medication he takes, or the anxiety itself. I forget which at the moment, but that doesn’t matter, as regardless; they should have seen this coming.

Scott, at one moment on the live feed is seen talking about the motion picture Rounders, and about poker faces. Poker faces? Not on Scott! Can you imagine him for a moment being able to ‘maintain’ as someone verbally goaded him in an enclosed space for an hour or so as part of the preshow selection process? Neither can I. If it were my job to assess Scott's temper control, after seeing his need to have his head covered, I would have forced him to take the caps off, and proceed to make fun of him. Isn’t this one of the ways they’re supposed to cull the selection pool? I imagined a more rigorous approach in screening. But then again, there doesn't appear to be a great amount of guile in Scott's character makeup. It was there to be seen, if they were looking.

Scott’s behavior hasn’t seemed to be any dramatic revelation to Amanda, leaving me to wonder whether the production staff bothered to interview any one that has had more than minimal contact with Scott. I maintain that anyone with a smidgen of common sense (no medical or psychological background necessary) would shortly have realized that Scott had no business in this mix, unless they were looking for some TRULY uncomfortable conversations and conduct.

So Scott’s inclusion seems to me to be an indicator of low life behavior of the highest order as displayed by the staff. They knew exactly the package they’d selected, and why.

I recently read an article where Arnold, referring to a lawsuit that had developed from an earlier, similar scenario was openly dismissive, and left me with the distinct impression that he truly views his casts, and further, people in general as objects to be goaded and manipulated for his personal pleasure and to further augment his assets.

You got what you dreamed of Arnold & CO, and I know that you’re happy.

You won’t lose a moment’s sleep regardless of what may happen, because you carefully craft things so as not to be legally liable, and after all these aren’t REALLY people, are they? They’re simply ratings generators.

Just because it’s within acceptable legal parameters doesn’t make it right. SHAME. If you had a sliver left within you.

If you see that as applying a double standard, having myself made fun out of the situation, you are right. Makes me feel, on reflection, dirty, and sorry on multiple levels for Scott.
