Cheating? Spoiler Alert  Reply with quote

Okay, first of all I must say I am really really really shocked.

I do not know if there has been discussion about this, and I am sorry if I am rehashing old news.....

Aaryn and Jeremy cheated during the HoH comp.

The rules were use your scoop for bbq sauce, and bring it to your partner and POUR it into their scoop and they take it down to the bottle and fill it. First one to fill it gets HoH.

Aaryn and Jeremy were not pouring they were switching scoops. While everyone else was pouring per the rules. Flashback to 6:49 during the competition and you can see the exchanges

Later they admitted that they cheated. Jeremy said they were switching cups and Aaryn said she was hiding sauce in her hand. flashback 8:52pm on camera 2 on 7/3 you can hear them talk about the spoon swap ordeal.

Again I apologize if I am just rehashing old news but I really needed to vent. Razz

Not to mention.. Andy threw it (or so he says) He claimed he could get the ball but didn't want to because he knew Elissa would want and take HoH.

Yes, two of the most nasty players in the house -- Aaryn with her horrible language and Jeremy with the foul thing he did to Elissa's hat -- cheated and Big Brother rewarded their cumulative bad behavior with the HOH.

AND Big Brother let the racist-sounding gay-bashing player choose three of the minorities she had insulted to be the ones deprived of food for the week.

Unless and until I hear some satisfactory explanation given for how they penalized them in some significant way and their cheating didn't impact the outcome, my only guess is that Big Brother welcomes the nasty play because they care more about ratings than about decency.

It is very possible that the show will not be turned on in my house again this season. And this is hard for me because I'm an addict.

I'll keep checking in here though to hear if they do the right thing. Even though I think the chances of that are slim to none.

Wow that never even dawned on me about who she picked for the have nots for the week.

I suspect that the rumblings only started yesterday, and it was a holiday for my American brethren, and I am hoping that the crisis management team has got together to discuss what and if they are going to do something.\

Not sure if anyone watched BB Canuck but Emmet got caught not cheating but ignoring the rules lets say, and they did a do over. I suspect it may be something along those lines maybe?

CBS was getting complaints during the HOH competition or at least right after.

It was Wil Heuser on Twitter who brought my attention to who it was Aaryn made Have Nots. It was right after she made the choice.

CBS has had almost two days to make this right.

They know that Americans will grumble for a little bit and then go right back to watching.

More hate = more ratings.

I'm feeling the same way. So disgusted with this season!

No reason to turn off the show. It is the behavior of a handful of cast members, dont let it ruin the whole show for you. there are many other things to enjoy. Its like saying Im not going to eat that apple pie because the ice cream is bad. Apple pie is probably delicious Very Happy

When production didn't disqualify the cheaters, they showed where their priorities are. They rewarded racism when they had the easiest excuse possible for not doing so.

The pie is bad.

Well, I vented yesterday, and I've said my piece in two threads today.

In the other thread I came to the realization that I need to just walk away from this for a bit.

So ... that's what I'm gonna do.

If the apple pie was ala mode, then the bad ice cream has now made the pie bad.

Sad to see you go Cute. I hope a little break will help, then we'll see you back here again!

I'm beginning to believe cbs picks and chooses when to intervene and make things right. Not fair at all to let them keep hoh when they cheated.
As for making it right, its happening somewhat in ratings.. the lowest ever. They scraped the bottom of the barrel with these houseguests..Never heard such racism in the house like this season

I can't believe they cheated and nothing is being done about it. Why aren't they being disqualified? I just don't understand. And to give Aaryn (racist homophobic that she is) a platform like HOH is just plain ludicris.

I felt good after I vented my anger with an email to CBS.

Begeens got it right - vent with an email to CBS. That's the only way to try and right this wrong. If enough viewers do this, then CBS might address this somehow (?) well, ok...hopefully!

Thanks for the flashback time AndreaCanadian. I haven't had much time in the last 2 weeks to watch the feeds, so I really appreciate the flashback feature. I really figured that there would be more members here at BBU talking about this too - but then again, it's a major holiday weekend for us.
(BTW - Happy *belated* Canada Day to our Canadian friends!) Beer

I'm gonna go watch those flashbacks now...

At least in BB Canada they did disqualify Emmett for breaking the rules of the competition. Why can't they do that in the USA?
I don't know when I've ever had such animosity for 2 people in such a short time. (Aaryn & Jeremy) His arrogance is REALLY hard to take and she is just a vile person. I thought she was VERY pretty when the show started.. Her beauty has sure faded.. I don't see that any more.. it's like her inner soul bleeds through. (aren't I philosophical though.!!! LOL) Rolling Eyes

Count me in as one who doesn’t condone Aaryn’s comments, but, after looking at the LF playback, I don’t believe her and Jeremy cheated.
During the comp, the camera is mainly on Judd/Nick. You can occasionally see Aaryn/Jeremy doing the exchange. Try as I might, I just don’t ever see the cup leave Aaryn’s or Jeremy’s left hand.

Cam #2 8:52 – Kaitlin and Aaryn are talking on the bed about the “David” vote. Jeremy joins in and the conversation changes to Kaitlin’s performance during the comp.
Kaitlin whispers (quoting GM),“And she was like, ‘let’s trade cups, let’s trade cups.’”
Jeremy’s response of, “that was awesome,” sounds like he heard the GM comment and merely thought it was an interesting idea.
As far as Aaryn’s comment about putting her hand under the cup to catch the “drippings,” I did hear that comment. I believe I heard it on BBAD. I did not pay any attention to it as that strategy has been used in the past with this type of comp.

If you go to the Cam #2 8:52 time, you see Judd doing exactly that. He was scrapping the “drippings” off of his hand into the container, also.

I think we can all agree that the longer Aaryn is in the house, there will be more opportunities for additional layers of icing on the Aaryn train wreak cake.
I just don’t think this is one of them, unless someone can point me in the right direction.
