WOW! i just watched the 10 mintue intreview with Jerry, this guy wants to play bb the way i would play it, he wants to make sure he can try and get in a allaince with the 1st HOH! man or woman, then pull in the next 2 HOH's..so he might want a 3 person x factor BUT he said that can all change, he also said [what i think is smart] that you get those 3 people, and they get a person and you have six people, and if you can talk you way into staying in the game [which he said he thinks he can] than you are a sure win to the F5..he also said he is playing the game, no push over, in the comps and all, he said what he dis-liked the most last year is the way those guys talked about shelia [he doesnt like men to dis-respect a woman,] gosh Jerry I THINK I LOVE YOU!!!! he is my FAVORITE no if's and's or but's i want this man to WIN!!!!

I like Jerry. I hope he is around for a long time. I have watched some of the interviews and think that this season is going to be a good one.

Yea! I have not read about anyone else yet. But, for now, I'm rooting for Jerry! You go, boy!

Jerry is a Repub...he told Daine in his intreview he was! politics is really going to play apart this season,JMO [the HGS might not think that, but it just might , ] i will just say it! i am also a repub, but i respect everyone's opinion,I dont push my views on anyone, i have friends that are not repub, i even have family that arent, and i love them, and respect them! i had a feeling Jerry was a Repub, in the intreviews they are all asked about politics, they say it is not their gameplay, but JMO it will come into play..i cant wait for bb to START!!!..

OK, first impression...

Like the guy, worried about the player. I have a feeling Jerry thinks his 'teddy bear' image is gonna get him some sympathy in the House (the whole 'not wanting to be involved in kicking the old guy out' guilt thing) and by the time people realize he's still in there it will be too late. He's 'mentally capable', but I gotta question this, not just the obvious 'age' factor but just the manipulation that goes on in the House. Can he really be sharp enough to see it? The 'X' Factor...sounds good in theory, but it's gonna depend on working the first three HoHs and that's something I don't think you can count on happening. I think he's gonna be a riot when he hears some of the things that are gonna come out of people's mouths (who wouldn't). Loved his little shot at Evel Dick. Jerry should be fun to watch...

I would probably think the same thing, Trelane, except for the fact that he has not missed a single episode of Big Brother every single season. So he is well aware of the deception and manipulation that can (and will) happen. Whether he'll be able to recognize it while he's actually IN the house is hard to say, but then the others all have the same handicap as far as not knowing who's lying and who can be trusted.

Jerry seems like a nice guy and I hope he does well but 2 things stick out in my mind about him. The first was the way he was going to create his x-factor alliance. I appreciate that he is going to scoop up the first 4 HOH winners but how does he know he's not going to win one? He never said the first ones excluding myself, just the first ones......interesting. The second thing is that I saw him get his haunches up at a few of the questions that were asked of him. I am sure that is the "take charge marine" coming out but I don't know how a bunch of young guys will respond to that. We certainly have not seen signs of respect for your elders out of past house guests. JMO!

I'm half-way through the interview and at this point, I don't like him much. I mean he's OK, just not my type.

Take age out of it and he's boaST*Ul and arrogant and mean. Listen to the interview without watching him. Imagine him as a 25 year old.

I loved the interview with Jerry!!! (What the heck were "they" thinking using Diane Henry as the interviewer? Blah!) Linden - I took your advice and listened to it without looking. I see what you mean about his attitude. I guess (IMO) I attribute his attitude to his age. Jerry has a no-nonsense way about him and he's not about to let a cocky "young kid" walk all over him. If he gets carried away with it, he will not last long. BUT - I'm hoping his years of watching and dissecting the BB game will curb him from getting too overzealous about lecturing or putting the other HG's in their place. I'm hoping he knows when to hold 'em, and knows when to fold 'em. I guess we'll just have to wait and see! lol

So far, Jerry is my favorite HG. I'm liking Jesse too (the 22 yr. old) so that makes my top 2 favorite the youngest and the oldest. Jesse is very mature for a 22 yr old. I think Keesha's voice is going to drive me up a wall!!

I just finally got to see the interview (Diane really DOES suck as an interviewer!), and I think I will like Jerry in the game, but I don't know that his strategy will really work as good as he thinks it will. We'll have to wait and see. You know he's going to get to meet Janelle, she's going to love that he's a big fan of hers and her gameplay!

I like Jerry. I hope he goes far in the game.
