Hi All,
I do not hear the typical southern accent especially someone from NO. I had a lot of friends from NO and that is not how they sound. At times I hear midwestern then I swear I hear New York. Southerners do not speak fast and nasaly. I think she might bring some spice to the house. But I also can see her get on peopl's nerves. It will be entertaining as hell just watching the different outfits with matching wigs.

Oh, this lady would be perfect to have in the house with Marcellas....can only imagine him critquing her outfits and wigs...

Totally agree JTW, I was thinking New York accent, its like she is acting because she keeps changing her voice, very bizarre. Reminds me of my husband when he tries to do any accent he always sounds scottish.LOL

Hmmm...I usually sound like the lemur king from Madagascar when I do that....

I went back and listened and you guys are absolutely right...maybe she lived a couple of different places before settling down? I went to college in VA and got the southern accent pretty quickly - aforementioned roommate knew when I was angry or drunk because the NY accent came out....now, 15 years later, hubby knows when I'm angry or drunk b/c almost every sentence starts with "y'all"....so maybe?

No! No Southern accent at all. I don't know about her yet. Guess they'll be getting some good haircuts, though.

I'm from North Louisiana and I sound a lot like her so you guys be careful what you say about how she sounds.

No, seriously. The New Orleans accent you guys are talking about is the Cajun one and you rarely hear it outside of New Orleans born and bread people.

She reminds me of my best friend from Jr High and High School.

I am about 2 hours from the LA state line, i live in Texas...i dated a guy from N.O and he talked just like Renny, i go to have fun, and Gamble about 2 or 3 times ayear in LA! and Renny does have the LA accent! she is one of my top 3! [for now] got to see her in action, but from the intreview i am liking Renny!

I think Renny will bring a lot of fun into the house. But I think she would wear on my nerves after a couple of weeks. I do not think she will be the first out but do not think she will make it to the end. But I did not think Shelia would make it to the end.

Hmmmmm...not sure about Renny yet. I also thought I would like her - but I'm just not feeling it yet for her. I thought she acted as if she'd been sniffing too much glue or something. She seems kind of spacey to me. I will have to watch her more since so many of you like her so far - maybe you all are seeing something I'm not seeing yet. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled

I'm really excited this year for Renny because one of my dearest friends that lives in NO knows this girl well and has for years. She lives just down the street from her and today she said the house looks all closed up and dark. It'll be fun to have someone to route for. Now my gf live there all her life too but I have to say her accent and voice is much softer and she speaks with a much slower drawl that is very endearing to me.

I kinda like her especially since she is sassy.... but I found her coment odd when asked if she would have a shomance or bromance and then that whole "you do not have to be in love w/ your spouse" comment was kinda random too.

NancyOttawa can your g/f give us the scope on her home life and tell us a little more about her. Whoa whoo that gonna be fun again knowing someone that know a h/g.

I have to agree about the "in love with your spouse" thing. I am just of the opinion that if you are not in love with your spouse...you shouldn't be married to them. But that's JMO.
The accent was also strange to me...definitely doesn't sound southern to me, but who knows.
I guess I am just withholding judgment about Renny for now.

I'm kinda in the middle right now too. I'm leaning towards the rooting for her though.

She reminds me of Sheila. She's a good person, America will love her. I'm not sure what I think if her yet. The accent? I have family in New Orleans and they don't sound like that. I'm gonna wait on deciding on her. I'm wondering if she might talk too much.
