Morning geo, Pukahs and all who follow,

Paulie and Corey lost the PoV comp to Victor. Victor and James were the last two standing, and James took the 5k prize money. This has sealed Paulie's fate. He will be leaving the house this thursday. He provided some late drama, making noises like he would Drop out, telling Corey and Nic that if he does not come back in the house he will leave the jury house after a few weeks, and telling them he lied to BB about seeing a psychiatrist, and being claustrophobic. I personally don't believe any of it. He is making a sympathy play, and it will fail. He also went to everyone in the house, telling them he would be with them. Since all the players compare notes now, Paul points out that he would have no one left to nominate, if he won HoH.

Paulie received a punishment for the week, being told he will have to bake pies during the week. He announced he will make one or two, but he has no intention of providing entertainment at his expense for the rest of his time in the house. I am not sure I blame him. The writing is on the wall, he will be leaving, and he knows it, so why worry about a penalty vote.

Paul and Victor continue to plan their next moves. They want Corey out next week (of course, with a returning HG that might change), and with his departure, they are confident that they will be running the house. They are worried about Michelle hooking up with Nicole, but Nat plans to stay on top of Michelle, in order to get her to do what has to be done to get Nic out of the house. They have also made a F4 with James and Nat, which they have no intention of honoring. Once Nic is out, they are going to strike at James, unless Nicole should escape the block. Then they will target James as the back up. Again, no real recognition that someone is coming back into the game, and if it is Paulie, and he, Nicole or Corey win HoH, one of those two will likely be going home.

Nothing much to see today, except for Paulie attempting to get Victor to use the PoV on Corey or himself, which will fail. Paul doing his secret service routine, and Paul and Vic planning the next cycle out.

My main issue with Paulie is if he refuses to make the pies (he is suppose to make them the REST OF THE SEASON) then shouldn't he be eliminated from contention to return? Why should he be allowed to ignore penalties yet still be allowed to compete?

Good morning all, So Paulie will go to jury Thursday unless he has the RT. I hope he does not. I think the down and out is an act that Paulie is putting on, I certainly hope so. I woke up early this morning in time to see Paul's red alert. I laughed so hard. He is really doing his part and not complaining.

Ken, Do you think James made a mistake in flipping. I am not sure. I know Paul/Victor will try to take him out soon, but I think Corey/Paulie would have also. I do not think James had a chance to win either way.

I hope scrappy Natalie is at least in the final 3. I will be ok with anyone that wins this year since I do not have a number one.

I think flipping made sense, and really, Paulie set this fall up for himself. I think if he was a better player, he would be working the house now, and maybe he will. I fully expect one of Vic or Paul is going to get picked off now, since they split the house, and that might provide an opportunity to reposition himself when the house reconfigures again. I said yesterday, and still believe it, that the three girls might end up in the final three, if the HoH's fall in place. I know, if I was the girls, I would be figuring out how to get Corey and Victor out, to give them a shot at taking Paulie and James down in the end game.

I do like Paul even though though he has said some horrible things about women in the house.

Last night he showed why he's so hate-able sometimes, and shows that he's confused himself. He has grown to a point where he feels a need for his mate to be someone he can have a conversation with. But ... and I don't think he juxtaposed this closely ... he is smart enough that he might have an epiphany if he did ... at other times he says he doesn't want his mate to be strong. Needs her to be a girl who is a girl.

One day he needs to have a really good talk to himself about this ... but maybe time is all it will take as he grows into someone who more fully appreciates strength in women. He has shown himself to be teachable. So that's a great first step.

Cody thinks that Paulie game was lost when he hooked up with Paul. He started wearing clothing like Paul, cutting his hair like him and then according to Cody he starts talking ''hateful''.

Last night Natalie convinced me that she's not expecting a future for herself with James after the show is over, but she did it in a way which keeps me thinking how intelligent and sweet she is.

She knows herself -- knows that if James is a party animal which sometimes he talks like he is -- then that won't work for her.

But she also trusts him and values how they are there for each other in the house.

So it's not like James doesn't have a chance. But they DO have to get to know each other out of the house before they could theorize about any viable paths forward out there.

I think she has a greater drive to 'succeed' than he does and would expect that from him. He's more laid back and content with his life - a certain amount of push wouldn't hurt but I can see them clashing over it.

So will Paulie accept his situation and return to normal or will his ego force him to keep going and have a break down. I watched him for a while last night. It is weird. He is a different person right now. He was hoping to not get shunned this week and I think he won't be unlike how he and his group shunned all the other evicted. I'd have some sympathy for him if I wasn't so busy laughing. I'm channeling my inner mean girl this morning. My head hurts.......need exedrin and water........

Paulie discussed his claustrophobia issues week's ago, when he had no reason to mention it so I think it's genuine. Is the stress of the pile up heightening it, yes. Is he plying it for sympathy, of course. He tends to engage mouth first, brain second. So what should be just a thought gets blurted out.

In an odd way not knowing if he could be coming back in is messing with him. It would be easier to accept the eviction if he knew that's the only option. He could then download everything with no fear of game recriminations (not from Production, but from other players) and be brutally honest. It's the old 'I've got nothing left to lose, so here's the truth'. They could listen or not. But he can't do it since he may return and he knows people are angry enough at him from what they've learned. But, never mind, his game is done, return or not.

I don't believe he needs or cares about the cash, so it's other factors that would convince him to stay in Jury like feeling that he'd let his family down. I think that's the one thing that deeply bothers him rather he says it or not. His family means everything to him. Nicole said TPTB would be mad if he decamped, but they could give his Jury Vote to America which could be good publicity too.

To me James is like a train. He has only two directions - forward or reverse, but can't get off the tracks. Victor, Paul and Natalie have played him like a fiddle and he has no clue the ducks are going clip him right after Corey. I don't think he'll ever doubt his decision since this was personal for him, he felt misused by Paulie. Wonder if he'll feel the same about another person in the House once the game plays out?

Corey and Nicole understand of course that they can no longer coast in Paulies down draft, but neither of them have a solid way forward. Corey is well liked as a person, but as a possible comp winner and associate of Paulie he will be next to go. Nicole is an out once James is clipped. They will use her for the vote against James. Her only game move, 'I don't wanna go on the Block' is now done.

I can see Victor taking out Natalie in the Final Four, letting her know it's because of that goodbye message. Just like Paulie, he WILL make her eventually pay for it. The ducks will then duel in Final Three. Neither will take the other, so Meech will get the 50k. I could either see her taking Victor just because as a fan it would be cool to see him win with his resume or Paul since his game play has been uglier and she would think she could beat him.

Meech has been like a fan at a sports camp, but like Donny and Jason before her she was not ready for actual combat. Unlike the boys who just sat back and watched the show like they weren't in it, she did begin to play, getting herself dirtied in the process.

Of course my musings don't take into account the three girls getting wiser to the ducks. Just from my owns tastes, I do not want Paul to win. Although he's been brilliant, I just can't get pass a deep meanness in him. He's like the boy who uses a magnifying glass to kill ants, thinking they're just ants never caring that the ants feel pain and are dying in a horrible way.

On a lighter side, the costumes are hilarious. Poor Corey and Nicole won't be getting much action on in their unitards. Naturally Paul thought it great, but I'm sure he'll soon be b*tching about it. Hopefully Chef Paulie will suck it up and do his Bridgette imitation sans giggles. He could carve rude stuff into the pie crust like his silly illegible pad message.

Well wanted action in BB and sure got it. Curious at how much DR probing and poking went on to get the move against Paulie? Enough that I would say he has had a proper prostrate exam this week.

I remember when I first heard him say it weeks ago, I filed it away. I admit I thought it was odd that he would do the show like this when you're constantly boxed up. And he made the tunnel trip to Paris several times. He does take meds, so maybe something to deal with it? Like I said stress and fear could be making it worse combined with a need for some sympathy which has been in short supply for him. But a month ago he was sitting comfortably so why talk about it then?

    • ManaDee

I'd be willing to bet his fear isn't actually claustraphobia, but his symptoms are similar. I don't think he likes feeling "boxed in" metaphorically, not physically. It's an impulse control problem, IMO. When he is stressed/frustrated/upset or finds himself in a situation he can't just get himself out of, he feels "trapped" and his impulse is to separate himself and if he can't, he gets anxious/overwhelmed/whatever. Just my thoughts.

Aren't their rules about destroying other people's property? Also, they cannot mess with props/decor on the show. The card could be considered under either umbrella. Also the other players may enjoy it, but some may view it as unethical play. In other words, he did it to Paulie, he could do it to me.

No need to vandalize Paulie's ticket.

After the veto meeting, the people who are not on the block could open their own tickets to see which among them may have had the RT, so that they can make better plans for Thursday and beyond.
