      Set Paul's ugly beard on fire!!! Somebody please kill Rasputin.

      The only time I can stand him is when he's playing Elliott Ness. But once The Untouchables is over, just put a sock in it, you noxious bag of wind.

    Strange to think that it's only been one week since Paulies game blew up. It's been an ugly week of revenge and vengeance, exposing the worst of several people, especially Paulie. Victor is the only one who's game play was the cleanest. There was a lot of more personal stuff that happened, rather then just get out the strongest player. But Paulie WAS the architect of his own destruction.

    Now begins the long slog to the finish. Kinda feels like WWII after D-Day. You know the end is in sight, but still got a lot more fights before we can get there. Honestly, the fun has fizzled out. Watching Paulie NOT bake pies was more fun than when does bake them, WITH the exception of the Nekkid Chef. James is mopey. Natalie is self-righteous. Paul is smug. Michelle is loving the tension. Nicole and Corey have been shocked out of their cuddle sessions. Everyone is so angry and focused on Paulie right now. Wonder who will fill the villain card after Thursday if he doesn't return - that evil Corey?

    Poor Paulie tried to unite Natalie/James with Nicole/Corey last night, but his attempt to play Jimmy Carter ended with an uncomfortable dull thud. It would be smart for them to work together to take out Paul and Victor, but neither group sees it. Natalie' s tied her wagon to the Ducks and James will follow. Nicole and Corey are just viewed as the next ones to be taken out, so no one wants to play with them. Michelle is just thrilled to be on the show, sitting back munching her constant snacks while she watch's the others play. Meanwhile the Ducks are in control.

    But despite the little bit of fun last night w/Paulies Nekkid Chef and the Baldwin show, I just see a month of droning conversations going over and over Paulies sins:

    Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears;
    I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him.
    The evil that men do lives after them;
    The good is oft interred with their bones;
    So let it be with Caesar.

    AND I swear the next time I hear Paul declare he's honest and doesn't connive, I'm gonna jump the Wall, grab one of those dull knives and cut his tongue out!!! Then officially set his pants on fire.

    Sure, Paul's pants are on fire. And it's not a good look for most people. But he's rocking it.

      Yes Paulie would be one, but Paulie is really just a lack of self awareness, I think. I like Derrick's game play with the exception that he tried to play the audience in his DRs, instead of just being honest, and it always bothered me.

      That's one of the main reasons -- maybe THE main reason -- that I didn't like Derrick. I didn't like him at the very beginning (pig nose). Then I learned to like him better because of the good advice he'd give to people about how to be persuasive -- you could tell he was really good at his cop job and he was sharing some neat stuff that all of us could make use of. And then I just could do it. A little bit was connected with Amber. But most was how he kept b.s.ing us who were watching his game. How stupid did he think we all were?

    Morning all, nothing to add, because from my perspective, nothing really happened. This group really are deadly dull. Not sure how the season picks up, really. Even in S16, I found pleasure in Derek's game, and came to appreciate the weirdly quirky game view that Victoria displayed. With this crowd, nothing. Oh well, at least I have the election to entertain me.

      And I hated Derrick's season. HATED. And am loving this.

      Am waiting with a smile on my face to see how our quirky five pull the rest of the season off, or if the Nic-ked Witch of the Midwest somehow rallies and wins the whole shebang.

        I hated Derrick's season too and thought it was the most boring BB season ever shown. I don't like seasons where one power house group/alliance rules the entire season while rolling over everyone on the other side of the house. While I can (and did) appreciate the masterful game Derrick played, it was boring, predictable, lacking chaos/drama, I was ready to concede that this season was going to develop into the same kind of season as Paulie, with his trusty minions, controlled almost every move in the house. But Paulie, being no Derrick, soon felt that power falling away as his true colors were brought to the forefront. The underdogs were onto his scent and treed the varmint. I have been thrilled with the turn of events in the house as the power in the house has shifted. The 5 Blind Mice have orchestrated this week perfectly as they have planned to give Paulie a sense of hope in order to keep his outbursts to a minimum while instilling a little uncertainty with Nicole and Corey. The fun is not over!

      I'm having to remind myself over and over not to forget tonight's show. I'm so out of the habit of watching on Wednesday, but now I have reason to watch again! Gotta see the reactions and DR's and any extra convos BB wants to show me.

      The show is fun again.

      Soooooo....TV Guide finally has a description of Friday night's episode. From TV Guide online:

      "For the second time this season, Big Brother 18 is airing a Friday episode. But unlike last time, this week's (probably) won't be as dramatic or game-changing as last month's Battle Back episode.

      Friday's episode will be a country fair-themed special, featuring a performance by Ziggy Marley (this won't be a surprise to live feeders). The fair will include competitions for the houseguests to duke it out for "prizes, perks and power," according to CBS.

      But since we have to expect the unexpected, there has to be more to it than a free concert, right? The episode will, obviously, air after Thursday's live eviction, so the evictee (cough, Paulie, cough) will be in it, which seems counterintuitive unless Friday's episode is merely just fun and games. But since Thursday also marks the end of the round trip ticket twist, do TPTB know one of the nominees has the ticket and will return?

      Or could someone else return, like a juror? The round trip ticket twist means the show is prepared for a second double eviction in the event of a round trip returnee. Why not make it a reality with a returning juror?"

      TV Guide is owned by CBS.

      I still don't know what to think, but we do know that Paulie will be in the Friday episode which is strange if he has already been evicted. Maybe he has the Return Ticket. (Or maybe they let all the jurors come back for the fair and that's how they explain Paulie being there. That's unlikely because I don't think the HGs could keep that a secret on the feeds even if they were threatened.)

      Who knows....

        Well that sounds like a waste of an hour unless they do have a buy back. The only secret is the random cards they picked for an advantage. Paulie probably chose the pass Go, do not collect $200, go directly to jail card.

      Morning to all, Well it looks like Paulie HAS REACHED A NEW LOW he is now trying to seduce the fans for the CP or ANYONE else in the house by exposing his bare butt I think he kinda lured Betty back in lol.😉But not me. Paul has made me laugh so much , he just has a way of making the best out of situations. His beard is strange to me too but maybe he's got a tattoo under that nest that he wishes wasen't there🤔Vic cleaned out the fridge toooo love that in a man. Hoping Nats neck will heal fast .

      Buddy TV has a pic up of HGs at the fair. Can't see Corey. Did they flip?

      ETA: Wait...both Paulie and Corey would have been there. Maybe they did separate pics and just accidentally used the one with Paulie in it.

        This week has been kinda boring because everyone wants pie out bad but going forward, no alliance in this house has lasted more than a week. It will be interesting to see if they stick to getting Corey and Nicole out or if someone else looks at one of them wrong and becomes the target. I have no idea how this season will play out and that didn't happen in S16, so I am hopeful.

          If they don't get smart and break up the Ducks, it will just be shooting fish in the barrel till they pick their number two. They're too smart to take each other to Final Two, so when will the hit happen is the only question. But have Paulie return and there will be temporary Depends time till they knock him out again. Then back to yawn, bye bye Corey. Yawn, bye bye James, etc.

        I totally get Paul's lies in the game and like Derrick is a master manipulator. I don't like the other players falling for their stuff which is what made Derricks game dull - he was just too good for that crowd. It's Paul's boasting about his accomplishments like no one else has ever started a business or ever played an instrument. Paul who ever heard of you before BB, a small group of hipsters? Honestly I respond better to people who have honest humility, who know in life that we blessed when something good happens. I would never trust him or Derrick in real life, since their lies are too effective. I'd always question if they're sincere or if I'm being played.

        But, he is entertaining at times. Other times like last night I'm ready to put a ball gag in his mouth while I crack the whip. But that pelican butt would probably enjoy it.

          I agree with all being said about Vic. His interrogation skills are on par with someone interested in law enforcement. Possibly that is why Nat's goodbye comments affected him so much. It could be used against him if he hopes to have a future in law enforcement.

        Another Natalie/James conversation last night. She was naturally complaining about her neck issue and her failures to win. She then commented that she was upset since she's tried so hard to win when others have thrown comps. James sat up and quietly starred at her. Couldn't see expression on his face, but the silence said a lot.

          It's a good thing that James has a long fuse and a good poker face. She was going on, again, about how horrible everyone was to her all game. He pipes up that he wasn't and she just dismisses what he says. I suspect that he knows this relationship is not going anywhere - the sadness is in his eyes.

          I saw that conversation and I thought he look like he had just been slapped in the face the way she was talking to him about throwing comps (as is James's game). I wonder if she will deftect talk of him going on the block as he did for her when someone wanted her on the block.

          I'm glad he has his daughter to consider first or he may have fallen on his sword for her. This morning she was b*tchy about his garlicky breathe while he trying to help her. Funny how pain can unleash a less pleasant mouth. She also reprimanded him for trying to stir up the calls for Paul and Paulie' s tasks, saying they need their sleep. Yeah, even defended Paulie, her arch nemesis? I get her anger and frustration as I see she's hurting, but don't like that poor James is getting the brunt when he just trying to help.

      • #14
        Derrick's season got boring because he was totally in charge of what happened, but I don't remember any personal boasting on his part or that he lied about personal accomplishments. He did lie about not being a police officer but didn't pretend to have some wonderful job, know celebrities, etc. In a lot of ways he was actually kind of modest but definitely the man in charge.

          I did not say Derrick boasts, that Paul's thing. And I don't care if they lie in the game. It's just when I see how effective their lies are that it would make me not trust them out of the House. I'd always have a niggling question in my mind.
