Morning all. I have to check out what happened overnight. I think the plan is to still vote out Vic. I think the only question is whether Nicole or Corey will go up on the block.

Let's hope it's Nicole. She needs some quality block time.😀

I feel like Nicole SHOULD go up. That way James could say, I promised Nicole in the beginning when the vets first came in, that he would NOT vote her out, and had to keep his promise because of his real world friendship with her....just a thought.

Are these guys openly talking about sharing prize money? Fidiots.

      Morning all....

I guess we knew that James and Nicole had a deal before they went in the house. (It makes sense. And it's been done before...wonder if they had a deal with Paulie too?).

But I don't like it. And how ridiculous they are to talk about it. I wish they'd both get disqualified.

On a more fun note, it's going to be great to watch James' face when they announce the Jury Returnee since he has stated emphatically "There is no jury buyback." (He told Natalie that the others are just trying to scare her with that idea. Won't they be surprised?

((((((((( ~smee~ ))))))))) I've always like Returnees because I formerly believed that they knew how to play the game and their strategy was more fun to watch. This year, Nicole and James have made me realize that some returnees have no strategy, even though they should know better. And I've never really thought about them making pre-deals. It makes sense, though....they go to a lot of reality events and are friends. Nicole and James' connection with Derrick gave them the opportunity to discuss things. I guess it's a natural thing to do, but I don't like it anymore than I like showmances or twins in the game.

Yeah, James thinks it "wouldn't be fair" LOL.

I'm also upset about the prior James/Nicole deal. They shouldn't even be able to work something like that before the season starts. Just another reason to either do an all-star season or leave the vets out of it.

Even if they do have a deal, it was only 4 returning guests. I mean every time there are returning guests the noobs ALWAYS talk about getting them out first but never do. That being said I blame the new houseguests for not voting them out in the beginning.

Apparently Nicole and James were talking about giving nice presents (read: money) if they win or get to the end. I don't have feeds but from what I read, Nicole was called to DR and was required to make a statement to all in the HOH at 3:55. James called to DR at 4:20. Best I can do, Walleye.

ETA: Just read that it was a 10K deal!!!

I read that James and Nicole talked about sharing prize money. James told Natalie about this last night about 1:30 am that he and Nicole talked that morning about splitting the money amongst the four. I haven't heard it myself

      Morning all,

Nat made her allegiance clear last night, telling James she wants Michelle and James in the F3. James is going along but I am not sure he will actually want that end game. For James, Nicole in the F3 makes more sense, and so their self-interest will diverge at the F4, and if one of them is the actual chooser, they can settle the difference then.

I have no idea who Michelle is going to nominate, but if I was her, and knowing that Vic is going home anyway, I would nominate Nicole, since it is what she wants, and will deny an excuse from Corey to nominate her (which he will do anyway).

Nothing to see today, until after the POV ceremony, where hopefully, Nicole is on the block, and we see how she handles herself.

      P.S.

In regards to the money, James and Nicole had a specific discussion in the pool yesterday morning, where James and Nic said they would give 10K to the other 3, if they were in the F4 together. Even knowing that, Nat is still pretty adamant that she wants Michelle and James at the end.

Derrick openly discussed buying Caleb a truck and he in fact did so after he won. He also 'gifted' Cody handsomely whatever that means. I assume he probably gave him money but didn't come out and say it on the show. Though the hamsters aren't technically allowed to share winnings they can give gifts. So, for example they could buy 'presents' for their opponents which in turn could be exchanged for the cash if the person receiving the gift wanted.

CBS announced they renewed Big Brother for broadcast on CBS for summers 2017 and 2018, JeanK . They are calling the broadcast shows BB19 and BB20, so I'm assuming this fall's All Access Big Brother will not be referenced as BB19.

    • #9
I hope that if season 20 is televised to the general public that the people who choose the HG's is forced to listen to them talk nonstop for 3 hours with headphones on. Maybe we'll be spared any future whiners.

I agree as well, JeanK. Some of these people are so whiny and annoying....I knooooowwwww. The twits last year and Nicole has more syllables in ''but'' than most people I know. There are times when I feel like she holds on to the last word of her sentence for quite a while.

I also read the conversation able giving gifts. I read a few weeks ago how they all planned their strategy beforehand. I'm haven't seen the retraction though.
please put Nicole on the block.

Apparently the BB Family is a bit incestuous.

These are few tidbits I've read on social media or heard on podcasts:

James, Nicole and Paulie all had a pre-show alliance.

Paulie/Cody's mom and Nicole's mom became BFF's during BB16 and they even vacation together.

Derrick's dad (who lives in Texas) acts as James manager for personal appearances.

Derrick, who was in TX at the time, spoke to Paulie (who was in NJ) on the phone for one hour before the season started. He spoke to James in person for twenty minutes while he was in TX. He never spoke to Nicole pre-show.

All the more reason why it is such a lousy idea to bring back vets and/or siblings. It destroys what little integrity the game has and puts all new players at a disadvantage before the show even starts.

Thanks for sharing the information! Definitely interesting to read. I can see how you think it destroys the integrity of the game, and I do agree that it puts the new players at a disadvantage by bringing in veterans of the game. The newbies, though, do have access to the same kind of information via books that vets have published, like Dan has done (although, I just looked it up and it appears he just wrote one on how to get cast on TV...). So in my opinion, I don't look down on sharing information. It just adds another element to the game, and I believe it (not initially, but later on) causes the newbies to step up their own game, knowing that the vets have the advantage of playing before and SUPPOSEDLY having better game insight.

I would agree with everything said here IF it truly worked out to be an advantage. I just don't see how all the advice etc. has helped any of the players. Once you get into the house everything changes. I am positive that Derricks advice included "no showmance" to everyone he talked to. Maybe BB lowers the oxygen supply in the house and it makes everyone stupid after a while!

I'm kind of sad that they have changed to take out Vic. Here's hoping he wins whatever comp they have on Thursday and gets back into the house....AGAIN! Man, wouldn't that be awesome.

Also, with regards to them splitting the money, they can talk all they want about that. It could be used as strategy to get people to do what you want, and there is nothing set in stone that they HAVE to share the money at the end. So yeah, if I was in the game and got 3 other people to agree to split the money and keep each other safe, I'd do so until I won and then happily keep it to myself. I got bills to pay, y'all!

I don't want Victor to be evicted, but if he does, I hope he comes back! Put James and Nicole on the block! They don't deserve to be there. They already had their "15 minutes" and they cheat! Victor… all the way!

I also would love for Vic to win his way back in, but Vic is already telling anyone who will listen that he doesn't have the strength or energy because of being on slop. I hope that is a tactic and not the truth as that would cause him to be at risk. I think those in the jury house have already checked out of the game and it will be hard for them to get their heads back in the game going forward. Nicole said that it was that way in her season when she came back in....that and the fact that Hayden was back at the jury house.

Didn't I read in here the rumor that the plan was originally for all-stars, but Tiffany convinced most of them to be unable to play???? Didn't help her odds, but explains why HGs like Corey got a last minute phone call with his boss vouching for him since he knew a producer and he is pal of Clay. Doris Kearns Goodwin? Bueller? KeninVA ? Anyone?

Kinda ironic that they're talking about bribes when that's the next Care Package. I know we've had the discussion before, but thought they can't offer to share winning as game play although no way for Production prevent what a winner does with the money.

Preshow rumors are the province of nonobadfish. . I don't even bother to watch the interviews before the show, and with rare exceptions after the start of the season (Rachel Riley's pre season 12 interview was hysterically funny, and pinpointed exactly why she was cast. So little self awareness, so full of herself). Anyway, I do find it funny that the next package is specifically a bribe, to influence an outcome. From reading the package blurb, it does not sound like the HG can just keep the money for themselves.

OK maybe I'm having brains farts, since I'm the only one who heard Paulie say weeks ago that he is claustrophobic? I'll do some searches to see if I can find that since it was a one and done conversation, unlike the Vic/Nic date request.

      • #14
James knew that Vanessa was called out by production last season for the exact same thing (bribes...).

Is he really that much of an idiot to think it wouldn't be a problem this season?

Right now the buy back mystery is the only thing keeping me watching. Every left except Corey or Nicole has had game. Paul has had the loud mouth beat right out of him. Vic sees the writing on the wall, but staying positive. He's been there, done that. Michelle gives me the creeps. She looks like kid who smiles pulling wings off of flies.

I've never been into the James/Nat thing. I'm so over the Iron Butterfly game she plays. 'I'm so weak let me win' all while running the dump truck over them. Her mirror image and partner in crime is James. 'I'm just here to have fun, just ignore the knife I just stuck in your back'.

But nothing but dull conversation right now.

I applaud Natalie using this method to try to further her game. It's creatively cunning. It's also better, in my opinion, than using another stereotypical "female" tactic -- I'm sure you've seen Nicole and Zakiyah mastering that one under the sheets. Did you grow up with older brothers? I did -- two of them -- and PLENTY of times as a child I have used the "I'm so weak" or "that hurts" excuse to get them to loosen their wrestling hold on me, only for me to slip out and try to win. It's a pretty harmless tactic I think.
