    Morning all.

RaineyC-I saw your questions in the other thread. I think it is possible doesn't care if Michelle goes. She was more tied to Nat than to James. He is more interested in aligning with another pair.

Raineyc sometimes you don't ask the question because you don't want to know the answer. I am just not sure. The only way James survives, is if he or Nat win this upcoming HOH. NiCorey and the ducks sealed their deal last night over the bribe gift to Vic. Strangest decision on NiCorey's part because both have said can't beat the ducks and both said the ducks are ruthless. The four are all in unless the next HOH is not in their hands then the scrambling will start. The bus will need new wheels by the time the two pairings finish with their assaulting each other.

The one difference among the four is James. Both Ducks want James out next. Corey wholeheartedly agreed. Nic did not say a word. Earlier in the evening Nic told Corey she wants James in her back pocket to target Paul.

It seems possible, but I'm not sure how likely I'm afraid. I hope he or Nat wins tonight to keep him safe.

I agree I think James honestly believes his F4 with NiCorey still stands, and that is what he wants, even if Nat wanted Meech in her F4. I'm wondering if guilt is playing a role because he didn't even think about Meech when he came off the wall. He could have kept NiCorey and Meech safe this week if he had won, and guarenteed either Vic or Paul left (because he would have Nat/Meech voting).

I think if he admits to Meech that she might be in serious trouble, he is basically just telling her that he got her sent home. He should have expected this though, because Meech was targeting Nicole and Jamalie are the ones responsible for Vic leaving last week, so they would be targets first. But James just doesn't read the house.

Meech at this point is ridiculous. Complaning about not being called to DR when she's sleeping/eating the days away and won't even talk to Nicole or Corey. They can come to you Meech?? REALLY?! Looks like it really is time for you to go.

I'm also wondering if James is worried Nat is going to resent him for screwing their games this week. I hate that his first instinct is always to appologize to her, but this will be one thing that really was his fault.

Happy Eviction Day, everyone! Raineyc, as everyone said above, it's possible (and at least that would make his actions make more sense). But it's hard for me to believe since he's not building the game plan needed to survive a Michelle eviction. If he knows that Michelle is leaving and is happy about it, he should be talking to Nicole/Corey and letting them know he's on board. Yet he's not solidifying Nicole/Corey, nor is he laying any ground work with Paul. If he is okay with Michelle leaving, seems like he'd let Paul know that so that Paul is a little less angry with him.

Since James is convinced that it's DE, he should be making HoH and PoV plans with Nicole and Corey regardless of who he thinks is leaving (especially since he has stated he's 0 for 8 in mental comps). I understand that he doesn't want Nicole to think he doesn't trust her by asking her about Big Meech, but he sure should be checking in with Nicorey about how to handle the upcoming comps since he thinks they have a F4.

It's strange. I wonder if Nicole and James truly did have an F2 alliance before the game and he's counting on that? If not, he needs to step up.

Interesting point about him not wanting to ask Nicole because she might think he doesn't trust her, but all he really needs to do is ask Corey who HE is voting for. If he says Meech, then James knows he needs to talk to Nicole. If Corey lies, at least James would be attempting and not just assuming.

  • #4
I am so frustrated that James did not go and talk with Nicole and Corey. He was urging Meech to go to talk to them when he should have done it himself. In my opinion Meech deserves to be voted out. She sleeps all the time and isn't playing the game. And can I say Nicole has rocks in her head? She and Corey have very little chance of winning against Vic and Paul. If she and Corey continue to align with as they call themselves "your boys" they might as well sign over the check now!

Not quite sure what game James is playing. If they put up Nicole on the block and vote her out he almost guarantees that he is shark chum for Vic and Paul. James and Nat have even less chance to win against them, then Nicole and Corey at least they know what they are up to. If they don't win HOH tonight they go up if they do they go up next week.

    Morning all,

Not much to add this morning since I finally got some well needed sleep. Watched the TV episode and caught up on the feeds

Corey gave the bribe to Vic to keep Paul/vote out Meech and warrant long term loyalty from Vic. What a waste. IMO Corey shouldn't be allowed to use the bribe for an action that was always going to happen anyway. Most of us felt the bribe would be a waste, so not a big surprise. Moving forward it won't move Corey ahead of Paul in Vic's pecking order. All this accomplishes is perhaps Vic keeps Corey ahead of Nicole. I wonder if she recognizes that fact.

James is using some make shift strategy to throw off NiCorey/ducks by:
    • not bothering to discuss the Meech/Paul vote with NiCorey James can claim to them if you were going to switch the vote then why didn't you come to me? REMEMBER: James was the one who would go to NiCorey last week to keep them in the loop & got them out of bed to come upstairs to discuss the issues. So, NiCorey saying it's weird he's not coming to them is somewhat hypocritical since THEY should be the ones keeping him in the loop regarding any changes in their strategy. (or at least that's a fair viewpoint from James.)
    • Packing his bag telling Paul he expects to leave next (in DE) is also James planting seeds. He know this news will go straight back to NiCorey which is a subtle way of him saying "I know you are playing me".
    • He also misled the ducks on how F3 works which is James just refusing to give them real intel.
    • He told Meech to talk to NiCorey and later told Nat ... she has to do her own campaigning (I think this points to James seeing the shift and he knows if he is the one to go upstairs it will only confirm with NiCorey those 3 are together).

I could be completely wrong but these actions do in a passive aggressive way set up James to be able to say to NiCorey:
    • I came to you last week when anything shifted b/c I was up with the people who had power and I trusted you would do the same since we have a F4 BUT you didn't return the favor.
    • I made sure to keep you both safe last week by convincing the girls to put up the ducks and my vote kept Corey in the house. So my actions worked to protect you and show where I stood whereas you used your power to keep me in the dark and to paint a target on Nat and I.

So if this is in fact James plan he is opening the door to out NiCorey for making two F4's in case the ducks get power to point out they (NiCorey) are lying to everyone. It also gives him the right to cut either Nicole or Corey since they went behind his back this week. Again, remember last week James told everyone publicly why would I go against the 2 people I've been aligned with since Day 1/week 1?

While James is unaware of much I think he's hoping Nicole will feel guilty for turning on him. She is using the fact James turned on Frank but the new F4 have been laughing all week at how Frank was playing the house and needed to go so they were in on that move. As for Pie perhaps only Corey was upset but he also knows Pie was playing all sides. James has never overtly done anything to go against NiCorey NOTHING and he pushed Nat all summer to align with them even when she didn't like them. Though Nic used James statement that Nat wanted to keep Vic to make the new deal, James can equally say to her BUT I kept Corey b/c we have/had a deal and you knew I would get Nat to stick with us 4!

Today Meech will hopefully finally speak to Corey at the very least and it should result in them telling her she is leaving (unless they stupidly blind side Meech/Jamalie) That won't bode well for NiCorey as there is no DE so it will come out right after that they have 2 final fours. All James/Nat have to do is say you told us (Nicole) Paul was your target and we had to break them up and now you went against us so the 4 of us would target each other.

That said, I'm not sure anything will sway the ducks at this point

Looking at Betty's TV Guide insert:

    Wednesday 9/7 POV
    Thursday 9/8 Eviction
    Sunday 9/11 Nominations
    Tuesday 9/13 Veto
    Wednesday 9/14 Eviction
    Thursday 9/15 NO SHOW
    Friday 9/16 Show (no specifics)
    Sunday 9/18 NO SHOW

Given these dates it does seem likely there will be another DE next week on Thursday to allow for the drama to play out on the episodes. And instead of moving to F5 they will move to F4. The following Weds show would then be an early evict to get to F3 and start of Part 1 for final HOH and Friday would be the episode to show who won Part 1 and start of Part 2. Still to be off air 5 days is an awfully long time.

Anyway, as we head towards eviction night I'm still going to hold out hope Meech can find a way to make NiCorey recognize keeping Paul is handing the ducks the F2. However since TPTB did NOTHING to get a rise out of everyone last night it seems unlikely.

Crossing my fingers Nat or James can pull off the upset HOH victory tonight. At least they'll know when Meech leaves they have to win. AND if either do win HOH it offers the most drama for the house. Side note: Nat is telling everyone she gave up on practicing dates b/c she is bad at math but in truth she has been studying hard all week and James has also been studying (something he generally doesn't do which is also why I think he sees the writing on the wall).

Other than that expect Meech to blast Nicole on her way out the door tonight as the only other excitement we'll get.

I'll await feed input today to see if I'm right about James or if he really is this blind to what is going on. I'm still on the James train, but it sure is shaky at the moment.

TTOTambz, I truly believe the bribe should have been like the 1st CP when there were more players, giving us a bigger basis to vote for and making it more drama for whoever got it. It's funny how NiCorey can't figure out the fact that only Corey, Vic or Paul could have gotten this CP and since America gave it to Corey - shouldn't that show that America doesn't like Pactor {Paul/Victor - I like it better then Ducks} and thus they should be sent to the JR????

Misscmm: Yeah that's what I'm thinking b/c even now James STILL hasn't talked to NiCorey & just told Meech/Nat 'I can't see NiCorey blind siding me'. The reality is IMHO he DOES expect Meech to go and will use this betrayal to not have to be loyal to Nicole/Corey any longer. While everyone seems to think it is on James for not bothering NiCorey he knows Nicole hates to be asked anything more than once and he asked her twice so for me the overriding factor is NiCorey laid in bed all last week awaiting reports from James but NEVER returned the favor. And THEY were the ones calling the shots not James, so for me they are equally at fault. The big difference is James always kept their best interests at heart and never really vacillated to cut them off in order to work with the ducks whereas NiCorey JUMPED at their first chance when they received their first opportunity. For all the trashing of James this week by Corey saying he can't be trusted um wasn't it Victor who put you on the block and took out Pie (not James?). Just saying.

In watching the show from last night, 4 hours before the nominations Nicole told James the target was Paul. Now I can understand more why he believes it. Last week, they didn't come up to Nat until they were asked to and James kept coming to them with info. He has no reason to believe anything has changed.

I did chuckle last night after Vic told Corey once James was gone, Nat would hang out with them. Corey said 'Oh I wouldn't like that at all'.

At this point, Michelle deserves to go home. She said last night that she didn't want to talk to Nicole (or Corey) and ask them who was going home, she wanted them to come to her and tell her. Why should they? If Michelle really wanted to stay in that house, she would get her lazy butt out of bed and go talk to Nicole and Corey to see who they wanted out of the house this week. And Michelle had the perfect opportunity early this morning to talk to Corey. Everyone in the house was asleep, but Corey was having problems going to sleep in the bumper car so he got up and started cleaning the house. Michelle got up, they made small talk in the kitchen area and then Michelle went back to bed. Why didn't Michelle just ASK Corey who he was planning to vote out? He was alone and that was the perfect opportunity. Instead, she just crawled back into bed and didn't ask him one thing about the game.

And regardless of what Michelle said last week, she is definitely targeting Nicole if she stays in the house. Even if Nicole/Corey were to vote to evict Paul and keep Michelle in the house, she is planning to target Nicole to get her out. So what incentive does Nicole have to keep Michelle in the house? Nicole knows that she is Michelle's #1 target. And at this point in the game, Nicole can't keep someone around just because that person is an ally of one of your allies. It doesn't make any sense at all. Especially when you know that person is gunning for you and the other HG on the block is not. Where is the logic in that scenario?

James keeps saying that his gut is telling him that Nicole is going to keep Michelle but I am not sure if he is just saying that to appease Michelle and Natalie or if he really believes that. Why would he assume that Nicole would keep Michelle when Michelle hasn't even attempted to stay in the house this week and Paul has been with Nicole and Corey all day, every day this week. The whole situation couldn't be more obvious, but James/Natalie/Michelle seem oblivious. At this point, I am not sure if they remember that they are playing Big Brother.

As for the bribe, I think it came too late in the Care Package lineup to really be useful at all. I guess if it went to Paul/Michelle it could have been useful at this point, but what was Corey really supposed to do with it? I think the bribe should have been the second Care Package and then they increased in importance each week. Week 1: Never Have Not Pass; Week 2: BB Bribe; Week 3: Eliminate two votes; Week 4: Safety; and Week 5: Co-HOH. Now that would have made sense and the bribe might have had a bigger impact on the game.

I think Corey/Nicole made the best decision with the bribe that they could. Despite being told otherwise, neither really believed that James would actually accept the bribe to throw the HOH competition. And let's face it, I don't think he would have either. And if they gave him the bribe and he accepted it BEFORE he found out that they were evicting Michelle, James would have felt betrayed by Corey/Nicole. So they decided to give it to Victor to help solidify their Final Four deal and to make Paul feel a little better about being on the block during the eviction tonight. They also discussed that Victor could really use the money, so they felt good about giving it to him. And they are hoping that by giving Victor the bribe it will make it harder for him to turn on them before getting James/Natalie out of the house.

Another interesting tidbit from last night was that Corey was in the HOH room by himself last night and started talking to the live feeders. He said that he really doesn't want to win HOH tonight because he would prefer that James or Paul/Victor won HOH this week. He fully believes that he and Nicole are in the middle and neither would be targeted by either couple so it doesn't further his game to win the HOH competition tonight. And he would prefer to be able to play in the HOH next week. I think that he REALLY wants Victor or Paul to win the HOH competition so that they can go after James/Natalie. Corey would prefer that Natalie goes home first but isn't sure he can make that happen in Victor/Paul win the HOH. Corey would rather keep James in the house to attempt to take out Paul/Victor.

Will James, Natalie or Michelle actually inquire about who is going home tonight? Or will they be blindsided by the tie vote? Paul told James that the vote will either be 3-1 or a tie. James told him that it will not be a tie because Nicole/Corey wouldn't do that to each other. So essentially, James was telling Paul that he was going home because everyone knows that James/Natalie are going to vote to evict Paul.

Tonight's HOH competition should be interesting tonight. Will the power in the house shift again, as it tends to do in the Big Brother house? Or will someone from The Final Four win the HOH competition keep the power in the house the same?

MY WEEKLY DARWIN AWARDS (Posted before this evening's eviction.)

The Cinderella award: Nicole, you won the HOH over the Wall Champ and the POV. But you lose your glass slippers and go back to the cinders tonight so hope you enjoyed the ball.

The Prince Charming award: Corey, you were given the last Care Package by the fans and you danced at the ball with Cinderella this week, but nothing lasts.

The Ugly Step-Sisters: Natalie and Michelle, you're both on the outs this week from the In Crowd and are showing your negative sides in your conversations. Looks like Michelle will depart tonight, so Natalie better step up for a win or risk departing next. AND shame on you both for rolling up and playing dead this week, allowing the Ducks to step into your places with Nicole and Corey. You're now on the losing side due to your own actions and inactions.

The Jason Voorhees award: Paul, you're wearing a mask and employing a chain saw to take out the other players. It's always Friday the 13th for you.

The Michael Meyers award: Victor, no matter how many times everyone thinks they've killed you, but you bounce right back. Happy Halloween!

And the Darwin Award of Special Merit goes to:

The Wile E. Coyote award: James, you're always thinking you've set the perfect trap for the Road Runner, but BEEP BEEP, he escapes! Then the anvil falls on YOUR head. Be careful next week since you and your "girl" are in trouble if one of you don't win HOH tonight.

AND, James IF you see four people constantly laughing and chatting together, then they may well be in an alliance. Believe your eyes!!!

He's already been sniping at her for a couple weeks and then doing the 'Oh, I was only kidding' routine. And he's hanging out with the guys as much as possible. He's separating himself, just a Nat is starting to do with James, preparing for game end.

    • #9
OK, gut feeling for tonight's HOH. Natalie will win to the SHOCK of the Final Four and relief of James. She will put up Nicole and Paul, with Paul as her main target, but allowing her to have any of the other Final Four pack as an acceptable substitute to go depending on POV. IF POV is finally our beloved slip and slide/teacup challenge, the shorter contestants "should" do better due to lower center of balance, though Vic or Corey have the longer legs and athleticism. But, their week as Have Nots will have weakened them to a good extent. Watch James go for the cash out, p*ssing off Nat. It would be fun to watch Paul scrambling again - grin.

But, if my gut feeling is only caused by dinner last night, then we will have a boring Final Four win with Nat and James going up and one going home during first part of DE and then a surprise contestant to follow that night. I doubt the Final Four pack will all make it to the actual Final Four. Smart people would take out Victor first, Paul second, but we're talking about smart people????

Meanwhile, I think Corey did the best he could with a lousy Care Package. He made Vic very happy and Vic won't forget it if it comes to game play or a Jury vote, just like he never forgot Paulie getting him out or Nat's first message to him. It would depend on circumstances, but the gift could push his choice Corey's way.

Wish James would share with we befuddled viewers just what his "game plan" was this week, sitting back letting the world go past? Is he truly just saving his fire, has he given up, or is he just too complacent? I would honestly love to see James or Nat win HOH tonight. Not because I'm really caring about them, but I want the other group be shaken up. I want to see whoever wins to fight to the end. No more suicide leaps off the wall, a la Da'Vonne. If you want to win, then play like you really want it. Nobody should be playing for second place or Jury now.

I don't think that the slip and slide/teacup challenge competition is done for the POV. Isn't that one used exclusively as an HOH competition? They don't usually do endurance-type competitions for the POV competitions and that would take the feeds down for a long time as it takes them hours to complete that competition. My guess is that if they do that competition again it will be next week when they have 6 people left in the house.

After evict tonight they're down to 6. Construction only began yesterday, so questionable there will be a long comp, especially after last week's wall. Next week will be DE, so right after evict there will 5 and after fast evict, they're only at 4 so doubtful for the walk on Crisco. Also at that point POV is essential comp. That's why I'm hoping to see it this POV when there will be six competing. Of course, they have had so many new comps that maybe the slip and slide/teacup won't be played (which would be a bummer, since its a fave).

Also we have been down several hrs for many of the POVs which were complex this season.

It was leaked online (so not sure how true it is) that the HOH comp tonight is the egg and chicken wire comp, not a mental comp. Usually bodes well for long skinny fingers. Did James play in this one last year?

Actually I think Nat could do well in it as Vanessa won that comp last year though if they have to go over their heads it might be a factor. Vanessa beat out Austin (who started well but faded), Liz and John. Steven as exiting HOH didn't play and James was already gone from the house.

I'd prefer for James to win b/c I think Nat will fare better in the dates comp then James will.

Corey would also do well BUT he told feeders he doesn't want to win b/c he thinks he's safe on all sides. Truth is he probably is b/c as much as James/Nat will be pissed about the blind side it won't take the shine off the ducks and their overwhelming comp ability. The big difference is NiCorey want to keep Victor around whereas James will want to take out Victor before Paul (IMHO).
Nat isn't a fan of Paul BUT she may concede to James that Victor is more dangerous.

In terms of what the comp will be it's unlikely to be the seesaw challenge that Frankie won and then in the redo Caleb won (I think) but it would take a longer set-up so it's unlikely to be that comp, ditto for slip and slide. Btw I liked both those comps but with the schedule set up it's doubtful we see either of them unless it's at F4 and doesn't occur until the day after the DE. If we are right about the timing and DE's my money is on us not seeing either of them.

Been lurking most of the season but just have to state as I'm watching bbad. When Corey gave Vic the bribe and they were discussing how James said he would throw the hoh tonight for it, Vic made the comment that it would be a waste since they think it will be mental and James has admitted that he is bad at mental so he might as well take the money. How would that be anymore of a waste then giving it to Vic to vote out Michelle when everyone knows that's what he was going to do anyway?

The other reason Corey wants Vic to have money is because he thinks James took the 5K from Vic in the Zingbot POV (keep or trade). James and Vic were the last players standing. He doesn't know that James asked Vic if he wanted the money or the win. Vic chose the win because he wants 10 wins under his belt. James threw the game, took the money, Vic took the win.

Is it possible that Nic is right about James? She thinks he is playing dead, a good strategy for this week. During this week he has:
Told Meech that she was safe
Then maybe not since she has been very vocal about wanting Nic out
Now back to telling Meech she is safe
Said he would talk to Nic after Veto ceremony
Now says he doesn't need to talk to Nic
Told Nat and Meech he thought he was going to be backdoored this week
Told Nat and Meech he will be evicted next week
Packing clothes in anticipation of being evicted during DE
Told Paul he will be leaving during the DE
'Sleeping' while Meech and Nat studies

The big questions in our discussions are why doesn't he do something to save Meech and ensure his position with Nic and Corey. Perhaps he is playing dead because he does know what is going on. He did tell Meech and Nat that his mistake last season was sticking by his girl and he would not do that again. Meech is a liability and a wild card so it benefits him for her to leave. Nat has also become a liability for James this week through her irritabllity towards him and extreme neediness. Even though he has studied this week, he knows that his chances of winning HOH mental comps is slim. And the chances of Paul or Vic winning HOH are great. I think he expects to be put on the block with Nat this week. He knows that Nic and Corey don't like Nat. Is he betting on Nic and Corey voting Nat out over him? This would give him time to realign with Nic and Corey and pitch to them that the three could team up against the ducks.

This could happen because Nic wants James as a shield and instrument to eliminate Paul. Corey does not want to be in house with Nat by herself.

I think it is a combination. I think James is starting to realize that they are on the outside in the house right now. And while he keeps telling Natalie/Michelle that everything is fine, I think he knows that everything is not fine.

I think that James has started playing for himself a little bit more and Natalie should be worried.

I've been thinking a lot about why James hasn't done anything this week. I believe he has a deal with Nicole not to put each other up. Both have lived up to this and have tried to steer conversations away from the other when the other persons name was mentioned. James would like to keep Michelle and get rid of Paul but, I believe, he understands why Nicole wants Michelle to go. 1. Michelle won't go upstairs and talk to Nicorey so why should James. 2. If James goes up and comes down with the news that Michelle is going, Nat and Michelle will badger him to go up and talk to Nicorey again and do something. James doesn't want to do that as he understands why Nicole wants Michelle gone. All in all he's decided to let it happen.

Meech reminds me of Nellie from Little House on the Prairie. That is all.

If Paul/Victor get HOH tonight, they will put up Natalie and James. Paul/Victor want James gone. Nicorey wants Natalie gone. Nicorey will have the votes.
Nicole, Corey and Paul or Victor. So do Nicorey vote James out as the HOH(Paul or Victor) wants or do they vote Natalie out as they prefer. It would be smarter for Nicorey to vote Natalie out as James will align with Nicorey. Same scenario basically if Corey wins veto. The final 4 could be short lived in less then a week.

Corey wants to play with the boys, he'll vote out James over Nicole's protest (if she does protest).

I read on Feed Updates from last night that Corey told the Live Feeders that he wanted Natalie to go. I also read where Vic said to Corey if we vote out James we'll have Natalie. Corey replied 'no, I don't want that'. Corey has never liked Natalie. That's not to say that he won't go along with what the HOH wants if it's Vic or Paul though.

The other thought - the rookies die and ride was to get rid of ALL the vets ... including Nic. I'm afraid the Bros - abet a smaller group - will be the 3 at the end.

Yep. James was a fool for giving it to Nicole, Nicole has been a fool letting the ducks get close to Corey.
