Morning all. Well, after letting the dog out I couldn't go back to sleep, so I'm going back to see Sam's freakout in the Storage room through the lens of her having a crush on Brett. I am also wondering if that's why she won't vote for Angela to stay over Rockstar, she sees Angela as being closer to Brett and is jealous.

Just popping in to say I pondered a bit on Sam and her statements last night as well. Although the focus is now on Brett this isn't an isolated incidence.

I think Sam underestimated more than just the game experience and being couped up for 52 days (at this point) around young attractive flirtatious males. Clearly it's affecting her. As we know her HOH reign spoke to what she thought of certain styles of game play. I think what offended her was the disingenuous nature of them.

If we examine the early game we can isolate on her protectiveness of Scottie and Tyler as she viewed them similarly to her brother. Thursday night, out of the blue she asked RS if Fessy was gay. This following the past two weeks of her spending more time late night with Fes. Then the anger at Angela - Tyler which he semi resolved yesterday. Last night she lashed out at Angela (seemingly unprovoked and unaware she did so, though her follow up comment to KC regarding Angela "not being guaranteed her vote" made her outburst appear deliberate. Then not long after she had the exchange with RS regarding Brett.

I wonder if Sam is simply craving affection. She's having to watch Haleigh cuddle with Fessy, flirt with Scotty and get massaged by Brett. Angela also flirts with Brett and in Sam's eyes suddenly appeared more connected to Tyler. This was more about semantics given Tyler was keeping his distance from L4 as he was playing Brett's role previously.

Perhaps Sam's self inflicted "no game" stance is taking an inadvertent toll on her. Combining the SR rant with her RS discussion it sure would seem like her statements of "not wanting to be treated like a fool" could mean she's not about to flirt back if it's "just game".

Every gesture Sam makes is about being genuine and real. She's elected not to play BB outside of competitions and voting. So, perhaps that's what she's grappling with - her desire for genuine affection, having real feelings and knowing based on what she sees that exchanges could be rooted entirely from a false place for her housemates. Couple that with her hormones raging (uncharacteristically) and that explains a bit more. I know when my thyroid first became an issue the hormone fluctuations took some getting used to. My sister is a psych nurse and told me people with over active thyroids (read: your hormones rage on a roller coaster scale) got admitted at her hospital b/c it can really mess with your head. (edited to add: misdiagnosed overactive thyroid patients were admitted frequently - b/c their hormones were making them feel/act differently and as soon as they were put on thyroid meds they felt better ) Add that to the pressure cooker of a restrained environment on cameras no less and it's starting to make a bit more sense to me.

Late last night as the L4 trio discussed Sam's ire Tyler made an astute observation noting Sam is feeling threatened and they need to comfort her.

She saw a truer version of Haleigh this week - which also speaks to game dynamics in that an HOH (typically) is less guarded b/c there isn't the fear of being ousted. Prior to that point we'd never seen her direct her angst toward Angela. Perhaps after this week her ire will return to Haleigh who she clearly sees as using her feminine wiles to play the men.

All I know is adding hormonal fluctuations to stress is not a great combo, so for Sam's sake I hope her cycle kicks in b/c that's extra stress she doesn't need.

Sam also seems to be a heavy smoker so I wonder if some of her behavior is from nicotine withdrawals.

Sam has been talking about feeling so close to Bayleigh and Rockstar this week. Previous to the time she spent with Bayleigh a few days before she was voted out of the house and with Rockstar since R got the punishment, I really haven’t noticed her spending any quality time with either of them. Bayleigh spent time with her group or was by herself most of that time. Rockstar spent time with her group also. Rockstar cut Sam down behind her back after Sam helped her with her punishment. So, I just don’t understand the “closeness” she feels with either. It is just since B left that she’s had genuine talks with Rockstar.

Of course, I really don’t understand a LOT of what Sam is thinking lately. Her thoughts seem to be coming from a zillion directions.

If Tyler was to win POV and he takes Angela off the block, I’m thinking even if rockstar goes, it will probably be JC sitting next to her, Do you think this would jeopardize JC voting with them from then on because he will see Tyler was willing to Risk him being on the block and not Angela?? 🤔. Because even if he tries to sell him on the theory of they have the votes, then why not just leave Angela up there?

They are planning to keep noms the same. If he would take Angela down, KC goes back up is what Haleigh said but I don’t think she thought that through. If JC goes up they blame it on Haleigh because that’s what happened.

The last I heard L4 plan not to use veto if Ty or KC win. they have votes to keep angela if angela wins she comes down KC or Tyler goes up. Their goal is to have only one of them on block

I think KC goes back up on the block if Tyler removes her (or if KC wins presumably Ty uses his power app). I think Tyler would try to get them to see if he keeps votes the same it garners more favor with JC (and they ensure his vote as well).

If however they deem it necessary to take Angela down I'm still not sure they lose JC b/c he's already witnessed the Hive & Fessy distancing WHILE IN POWER which says a lot. I could be wrong but I think JC would be angrier with Hal for putting Brett/Scottie ahead of him and furious all his work to make Fessy his BFF didn't pay dividends when he needed them most.

What I'm curious about is whether Brett would agree keeping JC over RS (who has finally turned a corner on him) would be his best vote, although I doubt he would risk voting against his group. Rather, he'd tell Hal he voted to keep RS & try to pin his vote on Scottie or Sam.

Looks like POV will be evenly matched 3 against 3. Haleigh, Fessy, RockStar vs Angela, Kaycee, Tyler. Would guess L6 has the physical advantage but finding OTEV’s requests in the muck is a crapshoot.

Can’t wait to see OTEV on TV Wednesday, one of my favorite comps.

I have a lot of faith in Tyler for this competition. It plays to all of his strengths, Angela and Haleigh should do well, but neither of them match him for speed and power. The other 3 are fighting for 4th place.

Sometime I wonder what these people are really like, then I listen to their stories and realize that's who they are! Some are so self absorbed that they care only about what's best for them and screw everyone else (RW/Hal/Bay)!

Blockstar likes to complain about crazy bom-bom entitled white people, yet she mentioned in her pre game interview the need to follow the theories and principles in,

“How To Win Friends and Influence People.”

Maybe every time she read something she thought it said,

~ only make friends with peeps who agree with you

~ when you don’t get your way, just start blaming the other person's actions as being nefarious because they did them on your daughters birthday

~ if you don’t like the actions of a person with the same color skin as yours, just call them an entitled white [email protected]#**###!!!. blank

~ call people stupid and candy bom-boms whenever possible while looking crazed

~ speak about all kinds of sexual encounters, possibilities, wants etc… to garner trust and friends with whom you can influence

And when she gets home, she can start reading the book I had mailed to her today..

She will learn a new level of life tools as advocated by the author of which only one has to do with money. She will soon be on her merry way redefining the world as we know it.

LCnSummer, More then likely the only part of "How To Win Friends and Influence People" that Blockstar read was the title. Otherwise, she would be better at this game and keeping her potty mouth under control. I really hope she doesn't talk like that around her kids. It would be a crying shame if they grew up thinking that language was acceptable in 'Polite Society'.

So Sam just pointed out that the ones not participating in the veto are the people that are being used from the two sides, herself, JC and Scottie. she should figure it out that she is being used. That will not help herself esteem. But the two sides are going after each other.

Too funny, ootd! I’m sure Sam would appreciate it. I think all the time it takes TPTB to get the sets ready for competitions is making it harder on her. It seems like indoor lockdowns are more common this year.

I just edited my ... what starblock might do after getting a new book post, when I noticed the "cussing silly keys" I used followed by the words~ blanky blank were a lovely shade of pale blue.....

However....I did not highlight the silly area with a pale blue color. GACK, and when I put my cursor on it... it showed itself to be a URL address. So... I quickly edited my cussing to fewer blanky blanks.n.stuff and made it orange.

WHEW ... scared face in my house for a minute.
