I'm wondering what would happen in the house if Raven was evicted rather than Matt? I know Raven lasted longer in most competitions than Matt. I also believe Raven is a bigger thorn in the side than Matt. What has doorMatt actually done in this game outside of being a vassal to Raven? Danged if I know.

I also wonder what in Sam Hill this group is thinking? Most of the house guests shun the person appointed for eviction. They then think the shunned person will vote them the 500,000? That is delusional in my humble opinion.

If the house guest goal is to make jury, they all have made that goal. At this point, Paul is the only person playing the game. Jason is in damage control, Josh keeps trying to maintain his composure, Kevin is loosing it under pressure, Christmas continues to float and direct Josh. Raven is a drama queen deluxe and along with Alex represents the nasty girl contingent. Matt is a doormatt. I still would like to see what would happen if Matt stayed instead of Raven.

See, Paul directs the house to shun the outgoing houseguest and he is the only one allowed to talk to the outcast. I believe this is how he is trying to garner the jury votes.

I love your use of Sam Hill. My mom used to say that all the time instead of cursing. Made me smile.

I really hope Raven leaves too but Paul needs to keep the chaos going in the house so I don't see that happening. At this point Paul has everyone including Kevin going after Alex and Jason next. I hope the DR plants some seeds to change things up.

And even last night Kevin said he wants Jalex on the block. Doubtful he will win HOH & even more doubtful he'd put them up if he won it, but Kevin is pretty salty (fairly so) with the ostracizing & attacks so I guess it's possible (but more likely he'd go the Raven/Josh route & if anything try to backdoor Alex)

So another wounded warrior: Paul. Poor big baby. I think you'll live.

Christmas, seriously, you toss cooking bacon on the floor because Josh didn't read your mind that you were p*ssed at him? That is NOT being an assertive woman, that IS being a petulant baby.

Matt continues to defy the rules and TOTB remain impotent to make him obey THEIR rules? Each season the HGs have whittled away at rule obedience.

Kevin is pouting that his game is over and blaming only Alex. Paul says 'Thanks Pal' as he now has more targets set up before him.

Alex continues to be the Warrior B*tch treating humans like they're just characters in a computer game.

Cowboy Jason shoots first, then has to clean up his mess when he realizes he screwed up.

Raven is still playing the Black Swan, dancing on graves, including her own.

Josh sees all, knows all, plays all. Oh Grasshopper, you are learning well.

I know you're talking about Paul's injury but he cleans that nose piercing almost every day as if there's a problem. Didn't he do the same thing last year? He should give up and take it out. I've never known anyone who had so much trouble with a nose piercing.

Ha! BettyBoo. Perfect descriptions. I've never stopped watching the feeds until now in all my years watching BB. I know there have been cruel and nasty house guests before so I don't know the reason it's hitting hard for me this season. I wish one person would say "enough" to Paul and put him in his place. I'll keep checking in here at BBU, though.

I haven't watched much either lately. As sometimes happens, this has turned into a mean house. I find myself rooting a litttle for Josh as it seems he is the only one not named Paul that sees what is going on. It's hard to believe that this late in the game people would agree to throw a HOH comp.

Who knows. Maybe in the aftermath of all the fights people will start listening to things Kevin said. Like every time someone is next on the boot list, Christmas and Josh are sent in to bully the outcast. What if Christmas/Josh are the ones to take out king Paul as they will perceive they can't win against him in final 2 because of the way he has used them? Wouldn't it be funny if both Christmas and Josh take each other to final 2 and kick Paul out at 3?

That would just be hilarious after Matt's rebellion to make sure he gets a penalty vote.

After talking to my sister yesterday, who only watches the episodes and once in a while watches BBAD, I'm guessing they probably did a lot of editing to make a big deal about who is a Have-Not this week on tonight's show (or maybe will do it tomorrow night) since Matt ends up getting a penalty vote because of not following the Have-Not rules. Like my sister said, from just watching the episodes, she never knows who is a Have-Not any more. They don't really make a big deal about it since there is no Have-Not Competition and no voting by America on what special food to give the Have-Nots for the week any more. Remember when they use to make a big deal on the episodes about people having to eat slop? I'm thinking they might just do away with the whole Have-Not thing in the next couple of seasons. With the way this world is now-a-days and what it takes to keep people interested, maybe they'll just have a big brawl every week where the HGs are given weapons and whoever survives gets to continue on in the game. The rest are either sent to the hospital or dead? Again, bringing to mind that there is an actual reality show in Russia based off the "Hunger Games" movies where people are allowed to murder and rape (makes this cast of BB seem like saints now, doesn't it? lol)!

If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

Honestly, if you can't handle bullying DO NOT go on a show like Big Brother or Survivor. It's rough and tough psychological games and you need to be secure and self-confident to navigate it. Notice that nobody is isolating Matt this week. He's had some scuffles, but comes out looking better than the ones he scuffled with. Also haven't seen them encouraging him to follow the rules and I think they're enjoying his rebellion. Oh, Matt, where was this fire and resolve this summer?

As for little frail old man, Kevin. One big Bronx cheer aka raspberry. As long as he could lay around and order Ramses, then Josh to be his man servant he was fine. I don't wanna hear he can't cook, he won't cook. Disabled people can cook (have a cookbook written by a blind woman). He's not incapable, he's unwilling. He has been muttering his game plans to take out the couples as soon as they formed, but not once was he willing to win anything but that initial cash. So he just sat metaphorically fat and happy thinking his social game would succeed, but now that's gone.

Of course, you gotta be a bit delusional to go on a show like this. And shame on those who don't do their research and learn how the feeds work and understanding that EVERYTHING they do is seen, if not by we feeders, then by TPTB. As for the bullying, as long as it is verbal, not physical, TPTB will allow it. Just as you can hide property, but not destroy it.

As for Paul, yes he was gifted with four weeks of protection, but he played it so well that in all the weeks since he has not been nommed. He wasn't constantly pointed out by Cody and Jessica as the puppeteer, but she wasn't willing to risk her game to nom him or get him out. Also, TPTB gave Jessica a power that she blew, so just having a power doesn't assure you safety.

Not saying anyone has to like the bullying game play, but if you don't like, don't watch. I couldn't take the last week of Jessica, so didn't watch. There have been seasons of BB I didn't watch since I didn't like the porn show it became. Right now there are some real competitors, so I remain curious to see how it plays out.

Well that's enough verbal projectile spewing from moi. Now back to real important things like the floods in Texas. Prayers to everyone. This is just the beginning for them of years of hurt from loss of homes, possessions, and sadly lives. Bless all the good people volunteering and risking their lives for others. Most people are good and kibd and caring, as has been shown. Blessings to all. 🙏

What???????Don't watch? If we did that then forums like this would not exist. We watch each year loving and hating different aspects. This year is just harder and more of a disappointment in lack of game and more of a reflection of hate/ bullying and just darn mean girl mentality. But we still love us some of what brought us all to this place. Good old BB. Maybe by posting our dislike of how the game has changed will impact how they structure it in the coming years.

I can put up with a lot of the things in the house that most viewers are complaining about. What can be considered bullying in the real world is just par for the course in BB. It happens to some extent every season. I have more trouble with the language. And it isn't just a few of them. They all use profanity to extremes. Do they really talk like this in their everyday lives? And I agree with you, TTO, about the cruel treatment to the older players. I was happy to see that an older person would be in the cast this year. I've like Alex this season, but she crossed a line last night with her attack on Kevin.

      Good Morning All,

So, I needed a break yesterday from the BB Season of Pettiness! Like most of you I can't say BB19 will rank among my favorites based upon all the bullying, pettiness and mob mentality gang ups. But, I recall a time several seasons back when KeninVA gave me quality advice telling me: we seldom get to experience our favorites winning so it's best to not have a favorite for that very reason. It stuck with me, and while I still may find myself leaning toward a certain player(s) I've tried to not allow the hamsters actions/words to affect me other than from an analytical view. That's not always easy to do (especially in a season like BB19). With that, I give you my musings on where the house stands on day 73.

The ironic hat: Money sure can play havoc on a hamster. Following the eviction of Cody/Elena/Mark & Jason finally going on a comp win streak Alex changed up her game play. It was as if she suddenly felt unbeatable and changed up her strategy. Decisions including hinky votes, not backing up her ride or die and how she's interacting with the remaining competitors speak to this. If Jason truly was someone who she valued she would have had a serious strategy session with him regarding this week's plan. Jason was dead on the money when he called her out saying he felt if he put up Kevin the house would have voted him out.

The pettiness toward Kevin has reached an all time low with Alex hiding his slop, writing "sucks" beside his personal backyard message, attacking his personal appearance and virtually every move he makes. In removing feeling from Alex's attacks the only logical reason I can decipher is Alex doesn't want her ride or die (Jason) to have an alternative choice

We could look back to Alex's early game play when she cited honor & honesty as important factors. BUT... she's not displayed much honor of late nor has she demonstrated loyalty to Jason (publicly telling Maven she was surprised). Alex current MO is garnering jury votes & she's so wrapped up in winning & being mean to Kevin she's lost sight of what is happening in the house.

Mockery Matt: Not much needs to be said here. We all awaited the time when Matt would suddenly turn up his game skills and start winning -that moment never came. The best advice I've heard from him is telling Raven if she were to reach her ideal F3 with Paul & Xmas she should take Xmas given the choice. As for his current disregard of the rules I agree with many posters from yesterday who said he should be penalized financially for each infraction.

Jilted Jason: I won't spend too much time on this as many of you covered it yesterday. YES what Jason said was done with the intention of humor and YES it was in poor taste. Recalling Mike Boogie saying something similar years ago when it was not said in jest it was equally (probably more so) alarming.

My personal perspective was he was fed up with Alex who continually was attacking Kevin. She wasn't honest about her target being Kevin & he's not a fan of ganging up on people. Deep down even when he's telling Alex he's with her it seems Jason truly does enjoy Kevin & would rather this situation be resolvable. Unfortunately for him this very relationship with Kevin is the reason he'll be the main target if/when Jalex land on the block. The hamsters can't afford Jason teaming up with Kevin which is what would occur if Alex leaves so he becomes the priority boot.

Kevin taking his kicks: Arguably the most interesting Josh - Kevin exchange of the season occurred last night when Josh tried vainly to give Kevin advice. Josh suggested he own up to some of his statements. Kevin is consistent if nothing else. As viewers we know he has called Josh dumb & just a puppet, that he has said Maven, Xmas & Josh have to go before him, he has told Paul he needs to get out Jalex. All these things are true, but Kevin refuses to admit any of them. Kevin also tried to spin to Josh he "thought" Josh told him he won the $25k & back away from the fact he told Josh he won it. Even after Josh told him I didn't buzz in to get it so I never would have said I got it, Kevin still wouldn't admit it. I guess Kevin is choosing to go with the "deny, deny, deny" strategy.

As of last night Kevin has finally had it with Alex (who could blame him at this point). He told Paul he plans on calling out Alex today & draw a line in the sand & intends to tell her she is the biggest bully in the house. It's doubtful he'll do this unless Alex tries to instigate another fight. But, should Kevin call her a bully expect to see him fly up the ranking polls. The resulting effect of everything Alex is doing to Kevin may end up giving him AFP which will be pretty funny especially if Alex doesn't reach a F2 chair.

I'm still a fan of Kevin and wish he could learn to adapt b/c that IMHO is what is stopping him from having a better shot to reach the end. What I find the most surprising is Kevin is unable to piece together why or how he got in trouble. He seems to just see it as a personal vendetta by Alex (which is true), but it's also WHO he is speaking to. Kevin fails to recognize everyone he speaks to is sharing what he says including his 2 most trusted allies (Jason & Paul). As it is Paul/Josh/Xmas have earmarked him as their F4 option over Raven BUT ... I expect Raven will tell Paul/Xmas her F3 is them & he is her F2 choice. At this point I expect Paul will tell Raven to tell Xmas she is her F2 so they can ensure she moves ahead of Josh since that might be appealing to Xmas.

Christmas Celebrations: In short order Xmas has gone from a player who many thought wouldn't make jury to being a very good bet to make F3 (and possibly F2). Her motherly management of Josh has been highly successful. During each drama filled situation it's Xmas who has positioned herself better with the other hamsters. After Jason kept noms the same she was the first to get to Raven to console her & this resulted in Raven wanting to align with her. After all the Kevin attacks (including her own) she was the one who got to him first to appease his concerns & tell him he is not alone. Looking at the dynamics of the house the 2 players who'll target Xmas first are Alex & Jason which she is well aware of. Although she works her social game with Jalex she knows they both want her out & likely suspects Alex would target her ahead of both Raven/Josh.

You have to give Xmas her due, in that she jumped at the chance to work even closer with Paul & perfectly timed her chance to replace Alex's position with Paul. She's enjoying their strategy sessions and because she never pushes her mandate on Paul it works better for him. Instead she keeps him apprised of what is happening and the pair decide what is the best for the trio (including Josh) to move their 3 further. Likewise, Paul makes sure to ask what she thinks & that is something no one has done with her in this game until now. Josh & Xmas have strategized, but unfortunately for him she doesn't recognize how well he reads the game so she doesn't give him the same consideration. She believes Paul will take her to F2 & she also has bought into believing she can beat him so don't expect her to turn away from Paul anytime soon. What we do need to watch out for is whether her & Paul choose to alter their F3 or if they keep Josh in the mix.

Jolting Josh: I maintain his insight of the game is better than most & he remains the only hamster who is cognizant of Paul's double, triple etc dipping. Moving forward we'll have to see if Josh is able to put aside his friendship with Paul to either call Paul out, point out his shadiness or even risk taking him out. My guess is the best chance will come at F5 b/c Paul will gun for what we believe is DE at F6 & he'll likely also gun to win F4 HOH. For this reason I suspect Paul will push Raven to win F5 HOH.

The other key will be whether Josh can reach F3 as he'll likely be the one to face Paul in the final comp & I firmly believe if he wins that he'll take Xmas over Paul. Again, this is why I think once Raven tells Paul she wants to take him to F2 if he's still in the house at F4 he'll try to win both HOH & POV & then pick Raven to be safe so she votes out Josh.

A bird of another feather: ADAPTATION - if there was one thing I would point to as where Paul improved from last season it's his ability to adapt. He recognized early Cody wouldn't shift and used the opportunity to align with Alex. As she built her case & he saw it would be a closer battle than he wanted to beat her he fostered relationships with each of the duos and realigned with Xmas/Josh as his main F3. As per above I suspect he might not be done positioning & if any hints arise about Josh I could easily see Josh moving up Paul's hit list. Regardless of whether you like him or his game play the reality is he's played 24-7, positioned himself the best and done so without drawing attention to himself. I'd prefer a more nuanced game of intelligence (Derrick) charm (Dr. Will), strategy (Dan) for example, but Paul's mastery this season is none the less as dominant.

PXJ Trio made best moves this week: regardless of how distastefully the situations played out, the trio of Paul, Xmas & Josh capitalized this week on every action in the house.
      • They were able to make it seem to Maven like they had no part of Jason's decision.
      • With Alex laser focused on jury votes & Kevin hatred they have apparently convinced her to throw the next HOH. If Alex does as she says & doesn't try to win HOH it will result in either her or Jason leaving next week & very likely the other in DE.
      • Xmas/Paul specifically have worked over time to benefit from Jalex's actions. The key here is Jalex will always be viewed as a team in spite of whether their goals are individual or not.
      • The other thing Paul/Xmas have been masterful at is feeding into Alex's ego - she is constantly discussing being in a F2 chair and b/c Alex is so laser focused on jury votes & her desire to take out players she doesn't like she's completely missed how close the trio have gotten.
      • Finally, the trio have become Jalex audience & are privy to all the dirt. Specific things the trio can use against Jalex are:
        • FOR KEVIN: they can tell Kevin the 2 votes were thrown to gain jury votes from Mark & they blamed Kevin for one of them
        • Tell him that Jason shares everything Kevin tells him with the group (& give examples).
        • They can tell Kevin that Jalex intended on putting him OTB & both were aware of the plan
        • FOR RAVEN: they can tell her Jalex were the ones who blamed her for one Matt votes
        • Alex blamed Raven for throwing out the slop (when it was Alex)
        • They can out Jalex were both aware of the plan & it was only Alex's desire to take out Kevin first, but Maven were always on their radar.

Ultimately, ego does play a factor in BB b/c as much as the game will be won by an individual getting to those F2 chairs requires teamwork. Alex was someone who only liked working as a team if it was achieving her personal mandate. As witnessed this past week she will even sabotage her own allies efforts if they didn't align with her priorities.

I'd argue Paul & Xmas were both keen to have a partner to strategize with & make mutual decisions. I think Paul was pining for a partner of that ilk & Xmas' constant smile this week speaks to her enjoyment of her this partnership.

Once again, the fact Alex dropped so quickly in the house standing & her choices in game play does beg the question- does this also speak to how well Paul is playing? In other words is the fact Paul isn't sharing the same insights with Alex or giving her as much intricate advice on how to play part of why she is playing so different this week? It sure does seem that way.

That's it for today - have a great day all - & sending prayers for all those affected by the floods in in Texas to be safe & sound.

Alex attacks on Kevin aren't just game play, she really dislikes him. I've already expressed my annoyance with him. If I was in the house I would have said I'll teach you to cook, now stand there and do as I tell you. If you say watch while I cook, he's played his 'I'm so incapable ' act. Christmas was in pain and on crutches and kept going and doing stuff for herself. Paul had never cooked until a year ago and was willing to learn. Its a key frustration of mine, people that won't try to learn to do things. I was lucky to have parents who taught me everything from sewing to auto repair. You don't need to be an expert, but at least give it a try.

BettyBoo I 100% agree with you. I don't understand not being able to fix your own food and feed yourself, that is such a basic skill, even knowing how to make the slop is easy enough if he were to just try. I mean even the cereal head can fry an egg, lol.

Hope they show the Paul act from last night imitating the HGs. He was spot on. His Elena butt trust was a classic. Reminds me when he used the eagle last year and nailed each houseguest. It's why he does so well in the game. He really studies them and learns their ticks and analyzes their needs. Combined with his friendship baloney and they all think he's their buddy. Well he's got 3 weeks to prove he's the BOYZ and not the GUMPY. (Feel like I should hashtag the words.)

And I also agree about Kevin & his cooking. I've consistently pointed to Kevin's inability to adapt. But, your point is more spot on ---- it's his LACK OF DESIRE to adapt.

Curious --- do you think Paul will pick up on Josh's feelings (he did say something to Xmas the other night which indicated he might be beginning to clue in on Josh).... and if he is do you think he swaps out Josh for one of Kevin or Raven to go to F3? I'm still so uncertain who his true F3 partner is .. not even sure he's decided yet.

My guess is he would like to sit next to Raven since she is not liked by the majority. Kevin could be great in Final Three since he is less likely to win the right comps.

I can't believe that Paul won't get a feeling from Josh. Josh isn't sneaky enough and Paul is a good study of people. He'll make a scary attorney.

the sad part is the article does not say a word about the others laughing and thinking it if funny --- Kevin is going to be so hurt when he sees this - makes me sad

I love that the Media is putting this out for all to see. Shame on CBS for not removing his ass from the show. Another great point made in this article is how Alex made a big frickin deal over a goose but laughed hysterically over Jasons inappropriate remarks of rape and worse restraining his children during the act. THIS is not even the first time Jason made Rape remarks prior he laughed and joked about holding down a female houseguest while the other men back door her. This is Never acceptable in any way shape or form. SO Alex only selectively has rape issues and uses it when she wants to bully another. Otherwise just a good old funny ha ha

I also strongly question a man that repeatedly makes such remarks about raping women even in jest around children. I would hope the authorities look into this as well. Obviously the man has issues with his lack of respect for the opposite sex. Hope his son grows up a complete opposite of.

Also, What about Kevin's family? I am sure they did not want to make headlines as the butt of some sick joke. What must they be dealing with, we all know kids can be cruel and BB has a huge audience. I would hope more attention would be here on the victims of these sick demented people in the house than excusing their actions over all.

Yes, exactly Snazzie. I am done with Alex. The girl has an extremely immature side to her that I am so sick of. Can't stand her anymore. I can't even believe I was once willing to root for her to win.

Their embarrassing of Kevin is really uncalled for. He is my favorite, and we are the same age so maybe that is why. I really hope that he doesn't give in but woo blame him if he does. I really would like to see him call Alex out.

I also agree that there is nothing funny about rape.
