      Morning BB update convo:

Me: They can't decide who to vote off: Jason or Becky.

Hubby: Because Becky has caused so many problems.

Me: What? She hasn't done anything!

Hubby: I knnnnooooooww. That's my point.

Sarcasm too early in the morning coupled with a twin quote. Ha ha!!

Sadly it is Jason who will probably be going out. He always kept me laughing. Feeds are going to be dull now. I still don't get Vanessa's rationale. Clay and Shelli are sitting pretty right now.

Some early thoughts while the hamsters sleep. Despite cracks in their armour, I think SS holds tight. They definitely have Steve with them to fill any opening of the six (now that Julia comes in). They probably have Johnny and can persuade James to play nice. That leaves Meg, Becky & Jackie to fight for the opposition. Could they knock out a person, yes, but I doubt the dynamics are in play to stop the juggernaut of SS. 2 of their team has controlled 80% of the game so far.

Strangely, Austin comes out stronger than I would have thought. He was weakened by the loss of his buddy Jace, but found other partners. He should have been gone thus week and guess what, 'he's still there'. He's sort of like R*ch*l in his love obsession, ability to remain in the game and being generally disliked by viewers.

I wouldn't be surprised to see if the Outsiders win that they waste a shot on Steve. But I wait to be pleasantly surprised.

BettyBoo, it was so much fun watching Austin beg and plead to save himself with Vanessa. That totally was worth the price of the feeds this summer. (I apologize to the Austin fans ). I feel the rest of the season is predictable now- Shelli/Clay and the rest will steamroll over everyone.

          Morning All,

The house divides, Vanessa rises to the top of the safety board, and Shelli/Clay are unmasked.

Yesterday, was the most intense feed day of the season, for me (from a game perspective). Vanessa nominates Jason, and cleanly divides the house, demonstrating that the After Dark Crew (Jason, Meg, James, Jackie) are on an island of their own construction.
Big Brother is a multi-player zero sum game. What this means is that after every round of play, there is a single loser, who exits the game, before the next round. Games of this type are normally played “closed”, meaning players attempt to hide their true position in the game, and use misdirection to mask their strategic and tactical intentions. Within Game Theory, John Nash (who Vanessa studied) invented the “Open Game” concept, where the positions of all the players are known, and their next moves are made to maximize their positions, with knowledge of every other player’s position in the game.

Vanessa went open game yesterday. She told everyone, I am aligned with Shelli and Clay. She told the ADC, every person in the house, except you, came to me and told me to keep Austin safe, and put Jason up. No one could back down from, Shelli and Clay could not hide or misdirect, Becky and JMac could not float away from it. She told ADC, the entire house, including people you think have your back, don’t. She did it by being completely truthful, without revealing any real confidences. She was not the one to come up with the save Austin plea. She did agonize over the decision; she did take Jackie off the table. Every other person in the house did talk to her and agree with the plan.
It lowered her target profile because now everyone else’s targets got bigger. It positioned her publicly with Shelli and Clay, making them the bigger target to her. She also kept her word to Jackie, and to Becky. This is the first round that Vanessa has risen to the top of the board, and would survive an eviction vote against anyone in the house right now. She still has some vulnerability, because people’s self interest will come into play in a 9 days when she would be eligible to be evicted, but right now today, she could go up in place of Jason, and Becky would go home. It was just a brilliant performance post nomination, and makes me wonder if the schizophrenic crack addict persona is a front. She was extremely calm, rational, and collected in all of her confrontations, only crying with her discussion with Jason, which I think was a genuine “out of game” exchange for her. Vanessa is becoming my player to root for, because I like players who are smart, with killer instincts, but with empathy for the human cost of the game. She has that in spades.

Clay put a huge target on himself and Shelli by lying so inartfully, and in revealing to Meg, that Shelli and Clay were the ones trying to convince Vanessa to backdoor Jackie. Meg told Jason. By Thursday, I expect this bit of news will be common knowledge in the house. This will further damage Shlay, and insulate Vanessa from Jackie. In addition, Vanessa’s house legend will be if she says “We have a deal” she means it. That will be an important bit of cache for the mid to end game, when that saying will stop being true, and she backstabs someone she has a deal with.

Right now, my assessment of the house is that Shelli/Clay/Vanessa are a tight three. Austin/the twins/Steve are tightly tied to Vanessa with the Twins and Steve likely to prioritize her over anyone else (except the twins to each other). Jmac is loosely tied to Clay, and Becky is a wild card.

Two of James/Meg/Jackie need to practice their Julie interview speech’s, their games are done. The survivor has potential to make it to the late mid game phase (F6), and in theory could win out, and therefore win the game with an epic comeback story.
Jason is done. I expect he will only get Meg’s vote on eviction night, with some potential for Jackie and James, but this would put a bigger target on them from Becky (who I believe is not gunning for Steve, but for James, who she fully buys into screwing up the plan, and leaving her on the block).

Well, you know what they say, the pawn always goes home. Unless you're talking about season 17 of Big Brother where the pawn has been safe and the target has gone out the door.

With that thinking, it's a long shot that Becky gets the boot and Jason get's saved. The middle of the house will safely float towards Vanessa and Company leaving Meg, James, and Jackie to be picked off. It's all down to Thursday now to see if either or 2 of them can get HoH and shake the house up, otherwise I'd look for a James or Jackie boot next week.

BTW, who's ready for a takeover? Did they just give up on that twist?

The Takeovers seem to have fallen by the wayside, unfortunately. It's like BB has a short attention span on their own plans. Too bad, because TPTB could use the Takeover in any way they see fit to manipulate the game, which we know they love to do.

Hello everyone *waves* I am back from vacation and watched the 3 episodes last night. When I left, Audrey was in the have not room hidden under blankets and I saw that she did show up for her eviction. So when did she come out of hiding and did she finally interact with the other houseguests prior to eviction night? I was very happy to see that she got a penalty nom. I was so hoping that Jackie would have been the HOH this week and that she would do some damage to the other side of the house After watching the 3 episodes on tv, I was SURE that Austin would be going home and was shocked when I got on here this morning and read Lexies articles ( thank you so much Lexie for all you do!) to find out that Austin is not on the block. WOW. It looks like it has been a very exciting week in the Big Brother house.

I think exciting is an understatement. The best part for me was when Shelli and Clay were shown to be lying to the others in the house and had to do some damage control. I'm not sure the others bought what they were selling!!!!

Audrey popped out Tuesday before eviction if I'm correct. She tried her best to get some info out of Shelli and maybe try a last ditch effort to save herself, but everyone she talked to basically confirmed her exit and that they just wanted her to have fun before she left. That deflated her game and then she just walked out with her head held high.

The gaming was so intense so early. Jason is definitely one of my faves but he has contributed in a big way to his own demise. I admire Vanessa's play but still can't get on her bandwagon. Shell and Clay are lower on my ranks than Austin, which is saying something. Meg can easily be taken to the end as a nothing at this point. I watch this somewhat analytically but mostly I like who I like, so conceding that my faves will just get wiped out makes it harder for me to enjoy. James is slimey and stupid; who knew Jackie would grow on me, but I may never forgive her for not getting Jason yesterday when Vanessa asked her with some urgency to do so. Any hopes for my faves depends on their winning HOH. Let's say (in my fantasy) Meg and Jackie. Megs puts up Shelli and Liz and Jackie puts up Clay and Austin. They tell everyone that these four can decide who wants to throw the comp to the other pair but that JohnnyMac, James, Becky, Jackie or Meg, Julia will not be the nomination after veto no matter what. I would love to see that scramble because Vanessa would know she is the obvious backdoor.

I agree with everything you say, however, Austin is still below Shlay in my rankings. I just can't get past the near crying and feet stomping that went on the other night. Not to mention all the info he brought to Vanessa about Jason, who is my second favorite behind JMac.

I like the noms except I think you put Shelly with Austin and Clay with Liz. Split up the couples and see what happens.

Good Morning all. I'm with you Livzee, I like who I like. Unfortunately, this is not looking good for the "gobblins". All the information coming out yesterday, makes it too difficult for Shelly and Clay to split off and form their own alliance to take out Vanessa and crew. While I know Vanessa declared ride or die with Shelli and Clay, I don't believe it. She has been with Austin since the beginning and her antics of making Austin plead with her to keep him safe, was posturing to get whatever deal she could. Vanessa has every intention of taking Austin to F2 imo. Austin is one of the most dislike players in the house and Vanessa will use that to her advantage.

Of the 6 cents alliance, I still say Shelli and Clay will be the first to go. Shelli is the most dangerous with her ability to win HOH comps. The only way Shelli and Clay can recover with Meg and James is to vote Jason to stay. Unlikely, because Shelli is too full of herself to think she may be making a mistake.

Becky is a big disappointment with throwing Jackie in front of the train and being as fake as the rest of the 6 cents. JMac goes where Becky goes, which is another disappointment. This group has continually used JMac and Becky to get rid of other people, why would they think they will be part of their alliance. It may buy them 3 weeks, but beyond that, not a chance.

The best week is yet to come and that will be when Vanessa goes after Clay and Shelli and Vanessa go after each other. I don't think it's as far away as we think. I agree Vanessa is playing the best game. A cut throat game unlike any other season, but I don't have to like Vanessa's game play. Of course, this is all JMO.

The rest of America dislikes Austin as much as I do. Shelli and Clay are down in the basement with Austin. Becky is forgettable. Jason is America's favorite. Shelli and Clay have been exposed and so may be in trouble in the house. There are two days before eviction.

Aren't those the ingredients for production to convince Shlay to flip, save Jason and make a move against the rest of the sketchy six?

The real battle is between Shelli and Vanessa. Who will take the other out so the survivor is Queen of the Borg. Shelli wins HOH this time and she may just strike since Vanessa can't play. I suspect though that she'll wait, since Shelli won't want to be the one to take Vanessa out. Vanessa however will proudly take that scalp and use it for counting coup.

          Oh, how I would love to see that! This has been the most frustrating season of BB for me EVER! I would love to see a season of normal people. My favorite to least favorite list changes almost daily. Right now it is;
          1. Jackie
          2. Meg
          3. Julia
          4. Becky
          4. Steve
          5, Johnny Mac
          6. James
          7. Clay
          8. Vanessa, Shellie, Liz, Austin
I don't think I left anyone out. If I did, just put them in the tie at #8. I am afraid Vanessa will be the eventual winner. If not, it will be Shellie. Maybe we'll see a miracle and the outsiders will get HOH this week. I would love to see the dark side scramble a little.

This was the point last year I got extremely bored with the game and it looks like it is going to be that way this year too. It is not the fault of the HG it is the BOB twist that stinks. It will not be 6 vs 6. It is an alliance of 6 vs 6 individuals and each of those individuals is attached to someone from the alliance of 6 or are just figuring out they are playing a game so we are just going to watch the 6 individuals be picked off. Even if 2 of them get HOH this week one of the 6 individuals will be gone. It was week 6 last year most people got excited because Donnie and Nicole got HOH and thought something was going to happen and they ended up getting rid of Jocasta. I just feel like I am watching last season with different faces. The only difference is Caleb (Austin) did not lose his Amber (Liz) this year. I hope this weeks take over is someone who only wants 1 winner so no duel HOH's or a politician who says we are going to leave to the voters and we the viewers are one of the HOH's and we pick our 2 noms. I don't know how much that would change the game but it would be nice to see how they react to America not liking them. I know we won't get an Ivette break down but it is always good when the HG know how we feel about them.
