Listening to Shelli and Clay talking to James, sounds like he is thinking about sending Steve home. I really hope that he is just telling them what they want to hear. That would be such a waste of HOH. Listening to him, he is either playing dumb or has no clue what is really going on in the house. I really hope he is playing dumb. On of Austin, Twins or Vanessa need to go home this week.

Hi, everyone. So I get up, turn on the feeds and there's Shelly ensconced in the HOH bed AGAIN. James, I don't care what deals you made, put Shelli and Clay up there, and then put Vanessa up as a renom if one gets the Veto. I am just tired of seeing all three of them running the house. Get one of them out!

Oh James is just playing dumb to hang them. He said he's not going to waste his HoH on Steve.

My thoughts are that he just wants them to feel like he, Jason, Meg, and Jackie felt last week when Clelli and Vanessa went back on their word to the 4 of them.

I sure hope so! One thing I like about James is, when he had his first HOH he said ;I want to get Jace out; and then there was this whole scrum over who was going , and James would just say ;I want Jace out;. He decided who he wanted out and didn't waver.

What a difference a day makes,
        24 little hours.

Rather strange that all HOH s have been controlled by 3 people so far and James won both endurance contests. I think the only one James hasn't made a deal with is Steve (or did miss it). He even told me I'm safe, but I won't feel comfortable till after Veto ceremony. So I'm reserving my opinion on the win. Actually went to bed after Jackie fell, I was so bummed out, and dreamed Clay had won, so glad he hadn't.

Tickles me to see the SS scurrying around trying to curry favor and make deals with the guy who just realized they had been playing him. Be bold, James. If you waste this chance on Steve, then you need to go next.

          No kidding Geo.

Interesting interactions going on amongst SS & with the Generals.

          * Vanessa offers a pretty sweet deal to James that she won't come after him until F7 plus a friend of his choice. That will be hard to turn down given how much she wins. However after the past 2 HOH's of hers I'm not sure she holds much stock any longer in her promises.

          * Becky is scum-bagging the group running straight to Clay to tell him Shelli is the target via back door.

          * Shelli of course flips out & even starts yelling at Vanessa coming just short of accusing her for being at fault that all the blame has landed on Shlay. She wants Vanessa to go upstairs & make it clear Shelli had nothing to do with it (UNTRUTH) I'm giggling to myself thinking hmmmmmmmm Shelli didn't you just make a deal for you & Clay, I don't remember hearing you try to save Vanessa whose done your dirty work to oust Jeff, Jason and won POV so you could send out Audrey... do you really think it's wise to show her how quickly you'll turn on everyone? lol

          * Vanessa suggests they sell out Becky (oh please sell her out so Becky can see who they really are... besides they won't waste an HOH on her & she'll come running straight back to the ADC if they sell her out).

          * Meg/Jackie are adamant they want one of Shelli/Clay or Vanessa out but what they aren't seeing clearly is for that to occur it has to be 2 of them on the block and hope the 3rd doesn't win POV & take one down. They can't risk putting up Steve as he might go home.

*If I were Meg/Jackie/James I would be incensed at Becky for spilling the beans, but I still wouldn't target her. HOWEVER I'd make sure she knew I knew & say why shouldn't I just send you packing? Do you see now why Shelli/Clay can't be trusted? We need a promise from you not to target us front or back door until all of Clay, Shelli, Vanessa and Austin or a twin are gone or you are going up! I have a feeling Vanessa will tell Jackie that Becky told Clay/Shelli if she starts thinking she could go on the block. (can't stress how much I hope she does tell Jackie!)

          * James needs to get Austin/the twins in a room & tell them Clay/Shelli are telling him to target them & get them to switch sides which I could also see happening.

Oh the wicked web we weave. I just hope this doesn't turn into a wasted week without one of SS going home.

Ken... can't wait for your take this morning as you had felt the SS were solidly together & wouldn't turn on one another. As I suspected the minute the frying pan got hot Shelli was ready to sell her first born. Regardless of what happens I'm not sure how Vanessa gets past the whole "I never wanted Jason to leave that was all you" comments or her demanding Vanessa go save Shelli. In fact Nessa seems to be the much more relaxed of the two. The whole time this conversation is going on & Shelli is saying she never wanted Jason gone I'm waiting for the words to appear on my screen saying that Vanessa said to her "so why didn't you vote for him to stay then?"

Still trying to catch up on all the convo's, but intriguing morning to say the least. And by the way I'M LOVING SHELLI IS ACTUALLY FEELING THE HEAT & FALLING APART. Hopefully Jason has been able to watch feeds to experience it or will be connecting with DaVonne at some point so he can enjoy them with her!

Have a good day everyone... I know I'm having FUN finally :-)

            Morning all....
I watched until late but had to go to sleep, but I agree with geo from what I've seen. James is only telling Shelli/Clay what they want to hear and it's so much fun that he's doing that!

And oh my gosh....Becky is a rat. What the heck? That's the reason you didn't like her, smee...you sensed that about her. I hope she gets caught. Maybe Julia can be JMac's Princess Leia instead?

Big time rat... what's the odds Vanessa tells Jackie in an attempt to put the heat on Becky? Personally I still think they'd avoid Becky as the target, but I'd enjoy her being found out. Becky is going to crumble when/if that occurs b/c she was so sure Shlay had her back!

          • #9
Shelli's got a little temper, doesn't she? Gracious. She's all smiles and fake charm as long as everyone else is in danger, but the second she feels even the tiniest big of worry for herself and Clay, she turns on her friends. Loudly.

We KNEW the Sixth Sense was just one HoH loss from cracking. I don't really care how this turns out...just enjoying watching them scurry for once.

Vanessa won't forget Shelli yelling at her. Maybe Shelli will go home and it won't matter.

NoNo . I called that about Shelli weeks ago remember? Her smug little sucked in cheeks even when someone said something she didn't like I knew she would blow the minute she felt a bit of heat and I'M LOVING IT!

Can you believe she wanted Nessa to go take all the blame for Jason to remove the heat from her? SMH

I actually think from what I saw of her in the HoH with James and Clay, that she handled herself well. Her instinct is super safety, and so she gets scared (Kalia? anyone). But, I think Vanessa knows that about her, and as long as the venting is to her, she can handle that stress. But, it will surely make it easy to let her go in the short game.

Morning all, who said this season was boring?

TPTB twisted the game, and all the calculations of last week, became inoperative. New game, New rules. From the little I saw, I am not sure I would characterize the actions of anyone as "scurrying" except for Austin, who again offers a deal for 3 votes, he does not control. Shelli meltdown shows how she reacts under immediate pressure, which we already knew, but is always delicious to watch. When I left the feeds, she and Clay were actually doing a good job of executing the game plan.

James has to weigh, who does he trust, how far does he want to go with other peoples help, or at least, lack of hindrance, and how does he make a big move that will advance his game.

I don't know what he will do, but I would parse the house into people I believe unconditionally have my back, which for him is only Meg (even though she offered to sell him out last week, to protect Jason, a fact that Big Pharma know, and he does not).

Next I would look at what operative deals I actually have. Alliances don't mean anything in this house, and James should know that. 20 or so have been created, and he has been in many of them. So to look at the break up of Dark Moon, as something extraordinary, would be to place emphasis on it above all other alliances that have been created, that he has been apart of. The thing James has to weigh, is, does he want to be a straight shooter, with 12 people still in the house, a game face he has been constructing since his first HoH. I make deals, and I keep them. Meg and Jackie can counsel him to destroy that work, but he should carefully evaluate what it will cost his game. He should have never made the deal he did with Shelli, planning to cross it, because it is to early. That action should happen in the short game, when crossing one person, will give all the other's you have trust in an overwhelming advantage to keep you safe. Meg cannot keep him safe. Jackie cannot keep him safe, Becky, cannot keep him safe. And so in the next three boots, two of Vanessa, Shelli, Clay, plus their allies will start the drumbeat, no one can make a deal with James that will stick.

Next I would look at people who could hurt me, if I attempt to evict them, and they remain in the game. Shelli and Vanessa fit in here in spades.

If I was James, I would target Austin, or the twins, and opportunistically backdoor Vanessa, if I can be confident that I can raise her target profile with enough people, that I will be sure she would go out the door. He has time, to raise the stakes, and build her target profile, but just like Vanessa did, he has to know the vote, before he nominates her. If he shoots at her and misses, he violates two precepts, destroying his reputation as a straight shooter, and having a powerful player, in her own right, and with allies, who will get him evicted.

James' HoH will be all about timing, and shaping perceptions. Is he up to the task, I don't know. But as a fan, he should know, the classic game is all about game rhythm. Two nominees go up, don't reveal to much until PoV is played and known. Then work on house dynamics to create the environment you want, then make decisions based on what happens with Veto.

For James, Austin or Liz going home, if nothing changes after his initial noms, is a good get. Liz better than Austin, IMO. If he can shape the house dynamic, he can get Vanessa up, and maybe get her out. If he does not think he can do it, he should not take the shot at her, for his game. But he has to know, if he makes a deal with her and misses, he will have to worry every time her or one of her allies gets power.

And my point, Ken, is that they should have known that this was possible once the lockdown started (especially since they all swear they have studied the game.) Should they have kept Jason? Probably so...and they had plenty of time to do it from 6:00 am Wednesday morning. (You probably haven't noticed, but I have thought getting Jason out was bad for Shelli/Clay's game, even though I wanted Jason to go since he wouldn't fight them. I don't think James/Meg/Jackie would have woken up if Shelli/Clay had kept Jason.)

And oh, dang...I forgot the main reason I was commenting:

I didn't hear it, only read it so I don't know details for sure, but it appears that Vanessa told James about Meg (or at least hinted strongly) when she had her HoH talk with him, somewhere around 1:35ish am BBT. Again, I didn't hear it myself so I could be very wrong.

nono, I heard it. Vanessa and Shelli/Clay tried to blame everyone but themselves for how last week went down. I have to say once James makes up his mind he sticks to it. As of this morning at 7 something I believe James stated the heck with it, Clay and Shelli are going directly up. There is no more BotB and this is a different game. They can both go on the block right away.

          • #11
Still catching up. I bet Shelli/Clay (maybe even Vanessa) will wish they had stuck with backdooring Austin. The ADC would still trust them (Dark Moon Alliance of 8) and it wouldn't have mattered who won HoH. They let their smugness keep them from thinking through the possibility that BoB might end. If Austin had gone home, Shelli/Clay wouldn't be in danger right now.

Yep, that's the thing. As you say, they woke the ADC up. Just a little bit of paranoia from Shelli and all the work she and Clay did to keep the sheep calm vanished. But they thought they could put it on Vanessa and go back to a calm sheep herd. .... and I'm not so sure they couldn't. To the last minute even Jason didn't grasp how tight the sketchy six were. Thank goodness James won so that damaging paranoia couldn't be doused. Hopefully Becky will also wake up to Clelli soon.

          • #12
Ken... what's your thoughts on Becky who was mute for 40+ days and suddenly becomes Andy from BB15 for Shlay? Do you think Clay, Shelli or Vanessa will sell her out? Repercussions?

I'm thinking one of them will for sure and it will serve for no one to a) ever trust Becky again & b) show Becky she can't trust Shlay (which is what ADC have been telling her)

Also I found it odd Vanessa would tell James a negative about Meg knowing he's all in with her. I didn't think she would make that type of game move as it could come back on her. Also I thought Vanessa was subtly planting negative Shelli/Clay seeds. Although she said she trusted them she made the point about them being so tight. It felt like she was leading James to them as opposed to away... Thoughts?

Becky has to play the game she can play, with what she has. She tried to make Shelli distrust Vanessa, immediately, though Shelli and Vanessa got that shut down. Until I watch, or get to read a verbatim transcript of the James/Vanessa meeting (which I have not been able to do, and won't until tonight, I can't pass judgement. Vanessa is careful with her words, and then reminds people about that. She does not take Dark Moon seriously, since she was in a room, and someone else proposed it. A cardinal rule of BB, don't walk away from offered alliances. They all know Clay was the proposer of the alliance, not Vanessa..

I have to get ready to go to the office. Last night really couldn't have turned out any better:

            1. I sure am happy to watch the Sixth Sense stress out.
            2. I sure am happy to see the tides turn.
            3. I sure am happy with how my main man JMac is playing.

Since my main goal is for my JMac to win (and I really don't have any other players that I care for too much), this is a wonderful week! I believe JMac could have won last night (and probably would have if he didn't know he was safe), but it would have upped his profile, so he played it smart. Again. James will take a run at the Evil Sixth Sense Empire (maybe even a kamikaze run) and weaken them for when Luke 'JMac' Skywalker finally takes them down in a few weeks.

Best laid plans, Vanessa/Shelli/Clay. Never, ever, ever think you've got it all figured out in the game of Big Brother.

I already postulated how Jmac can go home this week. Just have to see how it all plays out. First step is for James to double cross Shelli. He can nominate Vanessa straight up, since that means he did not take her deal. But he took the deal with Shelli.

          • #14
Oh...one more thing before I go, and I asked this last night but haven't gone back to look at answers:

Julie didn't announce a Double Eviction episode next week, right? That's an almost certain sign that it won't happen (they advertise the heck out of it for ratings). That almost guarantees it will be the week after next. I bet they didn't want to have a DE so close to the twins coming in the house.

So we'll have one more pre-jury eviction on August 6, and then jury starts the night of August13 with probably a DE and the first two members of the jury, I guess?

Another short observation. Since week two, the house has evicted the house target, the week after they were selected to go home. Audrey went out actually two weeks later, Jason was the target last week. Austin was supposed to go the previous cycle. So, Austin is on borrowed time.
