Good Morning all!! Looks like our hamsters wore themselves out with the events of the last 36 hours or so
So what does today bring? More tears to laser glares back to tears from Shelli? More Clay posturing and puffing up and more Shelli calming/controlling him? More scheming and planning? More scurrying rats (aka Ratky) .... more happy time for us? I imagine most of that will have to wait/will happen after the POV picks and then comp....but I, for one, am looking forward for what's in store for us today!

My ideal scenario is that neither Clay nor Shelli win POV and that whoever does win it (preferably James or someone else from that ADC of course), doesn't use it so that noms can stay the same and we're guaranteed (barring any new 'twist' thrown in that saves them) being rid of at least Barbie or Ken! (preferably her).

Happy Weekend BBU'rs! Will be in & out checking throughout the day.... but have to get some things done around the house as well (why can't I just play on here all day? *pout*) What's everyone got planned for the day or weekend?

Morning Fan, and all who follow,

The house is in flux right now. Shelli and Clay are starting to melt down, and are likely to turn on SS, if after PoV, they don’t have a chance to come down. Everyone is fighting over the carcass. Shelli and Clay are leaning toward Becky and Jmac, who is effectively driving doubt into Shelli about Vanessa. Meanwhile, Vanessa clearly sees the key point, James has to be turned. I spoke about this yesterday, the play Vanessa has in mind is cast doubt on Becky. The flaw in her reasoning, Becky being closer to Shelli/Clay just drives James to keep noms the same, and get one out. There are 4 together, in Vanessa’s pitch, CS BJ. Take Becky out and it breaks that goup up. But taking out one of the two on the block is just as effective.

A better play, IMO, is to point to Steve connected to Jmac, Becky connected to Jmac, Becky connected to Jackie, and Clay to Jmac. In a house of singles and couples, there is an operable group of 4, that needs to be broken up. Either Jmac or Becky become better boots. Taking Becky out splits Jackie from Jmac and Steve. Taking Jmac out, splits Clay from Becky, and Steve from Becky. The bonus, Becky has been betraying you. What Vanessa needs for cover, to rat Becky out, is to get closer to James, and to get clued in by Shelli that Becky is betraying Vanessa. Then tell James, and follow Austin’s advice, let James work through what he wants to do. Vanessa looks more trustworthy to James, since she has already established her straight shooter game face, has had two massive, real falling outs with Shlay, and is actually, in point of fact, alone. James, who thinks Vanessa is a good gamer, gets to “look good” in front of the pro by making a strategic move, and Vanessa is covered, provided she lays out the house, and then hits the pro’s of evicting Clay just as hard as evicting Becky or Jmac. If Shelly and Clay can play their part, by making a deal with James, and getting him to believe they will stick to it, it might work. It will be a huge mistake for James, but such is BB.

Meanwhile, Clay/Shelli’s plan is to tell James, once one is safe, if you don’t put up Steve, the other of us is coming after you. James will not respond to this, having told half the house, Steve is making jury on his watch. James is worried about his reputation as a straight shooter, and will not go against his word, twice in one week. Vanessa is not going to be down with that plan, and will likely cut ties at that point. She will work hard to have Clay be the evictee, and then try to reel Shelli back.

Becky and Jmac were out in force yesterday, as much as an under the radar player can be, attempting to poison Clay and Shelli against Vanessa. Becky is also working Meg and Jackie, in hopes to influence James to put up Vanessa as a potential backdoor. I don't think this will work, because James has a deal with Vanessa, which he has not shared with anyone. Becky/Jmac social play has worked with Clay, and is working with Shelli to an extent, but Shelli is more distressed with the twins and Austin. Vanessa has fought back some, and got into a fight with Shelli, and told her straight up, I am an inch away from abandoning you, for how you have treated me. Shelli, who is strangely connected to Vanessa, backed off. It will be interesting to see what happens today.

The board: James is HoH, and this cycle is safe, but will be at maximum risk, next cycle.

Safest in the house: Meg, as a non threat.
Jackie, Vanessa, Jmac, Steve, and Julia floating in the middle
Shelli, Clay, Becky, Austin, Liz at most risk of going home.

The key right now, is who wins PoV. If Shelli or Clay win, Vanessa will have to go in protect mode. Liz is very likely to be the nominee. If Vanessa gets to play, and wins, she gains agency, which provides a measure of power. If Austin, James or any of the twins wins, James will hold the most power, as they will not use the PoV, unless he approves. Jmac and Becky will not win the PoV, which could mean the downfall of one or the other.

A small addendum: One way Vanessa could approach James, is to tell him, before PoV is played, I made a deal with you, to keep me safe this week. Since the deal is to Final 7, we have the potential to be playing together for a while, and as a down payment, before PoV is played, I am going to make sure you know by name who was in on the Jason boot, and wanted it done, now. I am telling you the truth, and you can confirm that with anyone you want. And I don't care if Meg or Jackie know. That does not betray any confidence of her real allies, since everyone will know about Austin and Twins, and already know about Clay and Shelli. But the big reveal will be Becky.

I expect interesting feeds after players are picked, and certainly after PoV is played, and the board is set for the next shuffle. There may also be more fallout around Big Pharma, so follow Van if she is talking to Clay or Shelli, or Clay/Shelli anytime they are in a room with Jmac/Becky alone.

Jmac is playing a very good under the radar game. I think he is angling for Shelli to go, if it comes to that, but is using Becky to try to get Vanessa out. Vanessa see's him, and he sees her (I think). The problem for Jmac, is he lacks real agency, since he is unlikely to motivate other players effectively, except for potentially Clay. Vanessa cut him off from Steve, by ratting him out on his betraying Steve, and Steve has not shared that at all. Steve is all in on how to get Becky out, is, I think, his attempt to isolate Jmac, so Jmac has to play with him.

In a nutshell, Jmac is playing a much more effective Donny game, the lovable loner, with friends. If he stays in the house long enough, the big groups break up, and he becomes a hot commodity. But, he has to get there.

Wow, this is the first year that I have ever been on the opposite side of popular opinion as far as the house guests go. I just can't figure out why everyone is so gung ho about James with his nasty talk regarding women and the fact that he didn't even play the majority of the game. I've always liked the gamers.....and that's why I like Clelli. They have actually played the game while the rest of them have sat around and watched the game. Steve has done nothing, Becky nothing, Jackie didn't even know she was playing a game until last week when she won HOH, Meg thinks she's at a slumber party, and James is a sexist. The only one I actually LOVE is JMac and that's because.....you can't help but love him. Then you have Austin who thinks he is on the Bachelor, Liz with her "I knooooooooooow!" Nasally voice, Vanessa thinks it's ok for her to make side deals but no one else. I'm not a big fan of any house guest to be honest but I have to give credit to those who actually play like Clelli. I guess I'm just having a hard time understanding why EVERYONE seems to hate them. Maybe I'm missing something

Your reasons for V applies to them also. Yesterday for me proved why I dislike them with their why us, like they are better than anyone else there. They have always just come across that way to me. As for James, I don't like him but I like what he's doing this week, a lot of us probably feel that way. My fav is JMac.

My biggest reason for being so excited is that the other side has been running the house for weeks and that is just not as fun to me. Austin is the only one I really don't like and I was so disappointed when they didn't send him up and out, but sent Jason instead. So, it was just so exciting for the other side to get into power. Plus James really went for someone big and that is just fun!

I am with you. I like Clelli too. I don't understand why we can't like "showmance" partners the same as "gaming" partners like Derrick/Cody or Chilltown. They are still partners in the game and in a tougher position because they are out in the open. They can't hide their partnership so it makes their game even harder. And I like the Clelli-Van trio. I hope, somehow, they can make it through this week. However, I actually found myself having to turn the feeds off last night when Austin was on. I have gotten to the point where I can't even stand watching him. He just makes me ill at this point. I was SOOOOOOOO mad when they changed the plan last week to save him. I would have been doing one big happy dance if his butt got sent out the door. And now I'm praying so hard that one of Clelli wins POV today and somehow Austin goes up and out. Will it to happen, Want it to happen, Make it happen! And as for James, I liked him in the beginning but he has said some things that really turned me on him. He is not a nice person. And his latest insults are to Clelli for a 10-year age gap. Seriously? This is 2015. Ten years is nothing! Or is he just sexist because it's the woman who is older?

In spite of the fact that her fashion choices make her look like the Gorton's Fisherman, I find Vanessa increasingly compelling as a person and a player. While I think at this stage in the game she is merely a good player, time will tell if she is a great player, although I think her game so far has been a bit too messy to ever reach the status as a BB Top Player. We shall see.

I am wondering if her gameplay in the house and exposing her vulnerabilities in such a public forum will have a negative impact on her future as poker player. When she entered the house she was ranked as the number two female poker player in the world. It seems like a lot to risk just to check playing Big Brother off her bucket list.

Also, should she win this season and at the finale they show a video package that exposes her as Lady Maverick, who has won millions and drives around Las Vegas in a yellow Lamborghini, what do you think the houseguest reaction will be? I think once they get past the wow factor it could quickly turn to anger and resentment. Derrick being a cop was one thing, but Vanessa's very impressive bio is at a whole other level.

Do you think it was fair of BB to cast her when clearly her skills and background outclasses every other player this season, or any season for that matter?

I can see why Vanessa wants to do this. It is the greatest poker match of all. Now I would be more impressed if she does win that she donates the money to a worthy cause or the bulk of it. Frankie being in was one thing as his sister is wealthy, he is not. I wish someone that was a former armed service member with an MI background would be on the show. That would be interesting!

Yes, it's fair to the others. Her skills are proven, but that doesn't mean others don't have them as well. Many if not most of the cast are just in there for the exposure, anyway. Very few are in there to really play the game, and those that are probably expect they are pitting themselves against others who are skilled.

This won't hurt Vanessa's poker career at all and I can see why she would want to do it. It's a huge strategy challenge. I think it's just as fair to cast her as it is to cast models with big thingies and superfans together that know the game better than anyone else.

When I woke up, my first thoughts were not filling Miss Whiskers dish or making breakfast for Sgt B, it was James' best move depending on POV win. I've been told my priorities get a wee bit skewed in the summer. I did go straight and missed a couple years, including the Evil Dick year (I knoooooooooow), but Dan's year threw me off the wagon and I'm way too addicted again. (Reason I stopped watching was all the hookups. The house became the Playboy Mansion, rather than a giant chessboard.)

But back to James and the Giant POV. He's got to know he's on the short kick list after his big move, so why not swing to hit a home run. If either of Slay come down, put Vanessa up. At worst Clay goes home. At best, he takes out a big player who has won same number of HOH s as he has. And that's how he should couch it, in flattering terms as to letting the best battle it out. I suspect Vanessa would stay over either of Slay.

The ultimate upside is that all teams would be revealed and sides taken. And best of all SS will be split apart. But knowing the way things go, James will put up Liz, she'll leave with James to follow.

I am not sure Liz leaves, if up against Shelli, or Clay.

If against Shelli then Meg, Jackie, Austin and Liz are locked votes to evict. Vanessa is a wild card, but after the last two days, not sure she keep Shelli. Steve is likely to lean evict Shelli.

Against Clay is harder to predict. I am not sure Meg and Jackie cross James, in order to keep Clay in the house. Austin and Julia are locks to evict, Steve leans to evict, and Vanessa is almost a sure eviction vote.

        Blogzie , aprilshowers,

I don't think they are going to hold it against her, and if they do, so what. As far as poker goes, the medium is different, and poker is not a zero sum game like this. And, for Vanessa, she wants the exposure, since it will bust her out of just the poker world, which is what she wants, to help kick start her DJ career. She was trying to sell her house in Vegas last year, to relocate to Miami (her home town), and get out of poker, which she views as soulless. The death of her ex-husband was a big catalyst for change in her life.

Since everyone else does it, my fantasy pairing is Vanessa and James. I want Vanessa to go to James, as part of the out Becky plan I outlined today, and tell James, "My deal involves you getting one other person my safety, who do you want". And I want James to tell her "You". I think the two of them would tear the house up, James has demonstrated uncommon loyalty, and his attributes, decisiveness, big plays, and physical competitiveness; balance her skill sets in risk assessment, analysis, and mental competitiveness. And they both share seperation of game from personal, and loyalty (and both have been thrown under the bus by their pre-jury alliances), pick up Meg, and the twins, and they would end up in the final two chairs.

        Good morning BBU!

The last 24-36 hours is why we love this game! Though this move may backfire on James, I'm happy to see some real game taking place.

I hooked the computer to the big tv last night to watch the feeds. I woke this morning to it still on, stumble around eyes half open and the first thing I see is Austin pawing Liz as she sleeps. He lifts her blanket and slides his hand under. My stomach churned, felt as though I was seeing a molestation. The two of them crowded up on a dentist chair...she just can't get away from him. That said, she just leads him on. Last week sometime she told Van that she needed to tell him she isn't interested she was afraid that he would turn on her in the game if she did. I'm really ready to see Austin go. Shoot present it to James that he would be "saving the damsel in distress" and BD Austin. I want to see Shlay broken up, but, at this moment I want to see Austin gone far more.

          Interesting tidbit...maybe.

I watched a live video chat last night with Audrey and Da'Vonne and neither one of them are buying into Becky's train story. They said whenever the HG's would gather and tell stories about their past that Becky always had to 'one up' everyone else's stories.

I guess this would be an example of her one-upmanship. I always thought it was strange, because who wouldn't hear an oncoming train?

Am I the only one that is thinking that James ultimate plan is to blindside Vanessa at the POV ceremony and put her up much like she blindsided Jason?

I can hear him saying 'I'm sorry. It's what the house wanted.' all the while between now and then he pulls Vanessa closer for more shock value.

For James' first HOH, he said 'I want Jace out', then he didn't really say anything for a long time, while all of those in that first week's alliance of his talked and talked and said who else could go out and then when the time came for him to renom, up went Jace. He apparently makes up his mind decisively and doesn't change it. He said he went to bed after the HOH and couldn't sleep and lay there thinking about what to do, so I guess when he makes up his mind, that's it. Kind of refreshing after listening to Vanessa talk non-stop all during her HOHs.

Good morning all- Great feeds yesterday. Talking about favorites. I am usually the one that does not like the favorite house guest. I tend to pull for the underdog. I am not sure we have any real underdogs except Steve. I want him to get to at least F4. I do not think he can win.

I really like Vanessa but wish she would calm down. I think her mind never shuts down and she just has to get it all out there over and over. I think she really needs to find a good F2 to go with her to the end. She thought she had it in Steve, but he gets nervous and can not seem to win a HOH. If Clay was the one to go home and Shelli does not burn her bridges this week, the two of them would make a good team. She thought she had Austin but he fell in love with Liz. I do think her and James would make a great pair. She could bring in Steve and he could bring in Meg and Jackie. Meg will not help them win comps but Jackie could. Jackie is one I can not really get a handle on. She may not forgive Vanessa for last week.

I do not like Becky, I hope the playing snitch with both sides is caught soon.

The only thing I can not understand is why everyone has been pulled to Clay/Shelli. The fact that they had F4 deals or understanding with everyone in the house does not matter esp. Clay. James, Meg and Jackie hope he goes with them. Johnny and Becky hope he goes with them. Austin and the twins would like to work with him. I think if Shelli leaves, he will blame Vanessa and will do every thing he can do to get her out.

They are perceived as a power couple, therefore it's 'safe' to be on their side, or at least early in the game, especially if you aren't really into the game that much yourself, (not realizing that power couples are dangerous to those who are weaker/floaters). That would be my guess. Plus, they are personable and nice, at least to your face. I think it's probably easy to trust them.

I actually kind of like Becky and hope she gets through this next week, but those that play the snitch usually don't last too long once people realize what's going on (exception Andy who won the other year). People mention James breaking his word, but that's nothing next to finding out someone is taking your info to the other side and you were trusting them! So I hope she stops that part of her game sooner rather than later.

She doesn't like to give up on people. Look at keeping Austin when he was slated to go. And also she likes to keep things going when she has set things up, so will 'fix' things if she can. But I don't think she'll have any luck with James getting a Becky renom, and if she can't, she'll let one of them go at that point and try and keep whoever is left. I think she would prefer to keep Shelli and will work for her to stay if the veto is not used and the two remain on the block together.

            But what do I know.
