For the moment, let's put aside strategy, statistics, logistics and whether or not Pluto is a planet and ponder this thought:

Wouldn't this be the time to get Vanessa out? When they have a nice clean shot at her? Liz uses the Veto and takes someone off the block (it really doesn't matter who it is) and tells Lady Maverick to have a seat and on Thursday they vote her out. B O O M.

If they wait until next week (like Austin says he wants to do) anything can happen. Vanessa can win HOH and/or the Veto. Someone once said 'Expected The Unexpected'. You may have heard that before. Not sure who said it, Gandhi or The Little Prince or maybe it was The Artist Formerly Known As Prince. It doesn't matter...

Besides, if they get Vanessa out now then they can get Liz out next. That's when you break up the Big Trio (Austin and the Sister Wives) a duo (Austin and Liz) and yet another duo (Julia and Liz). It's a hat trick!

It makes sense to me (and that rarely happens) and it leaves very little to chance. I know, I know, one of the jurors is coming back in. So what! You can't not vote someone out because you are afraid they may come back in. Or something like that. Right?



Bonus! If they get Vanessa out, the green beanie hat walks out right beside her.

Blogzie, I don't think Julia actually trusts James at all. So, for the people who actually could make that happen, Liz/Julia/Austin, why would they take the shot now, lose a jury vote, keep Becky and Jmac both in the game, and set themselves up for a 4 on 4, (since I am sure Austin thinks he controls Steve) and possibly a 5 vs 3 for next week?

While I don't doubt that James/Meg would love for that scenario to happen, and as the days go on, Meg might make some small attempts to push that agenda, the risk for them is that all this Vanessa hate for them is all a game, and by pushing too hard, one of them ends up on the block.

And I already outlined the results of Vanessa going out, as the remaining players will feast on the Trio, holding Julia hostage until the end game.

I truly get all of that. But I still feel that this is the time to do it, strategy be damned. She is a huge 'get' and they may never have this chance again. Vanessa is just too clever. Do it now and deal with the aftermath later. And yes, I want the remaining players to feast on the trio, with Liz being the next one out the door.

Also, it's not too farfetched that if Liz is voted out, Austin could very likely self-evict. Stranger things have happened in this game and Austin is as strange as they come.

Morning Kitty, and all who follow,

Liz wins veto, and now holds all the power in the house. Austin plans on someone taking out Vanessa next week, maybe even him doing it. He and Liz are feeling invincible in the game.

Austin slips up and tells Vanessa, Jmac might have thrown the comp, and that HE has Steve working Jmac. I don't expect this went by Vanessa.

Liz is already plotting to foil her sisters plans, since Liz is all in on getting Vanessa out next week, and she knows Julia would not do it. The first crack in the sisters combined game strategy.

Austwins and TBM have a little game talk, right now, Meg and James are appeasing the Austwins, and Meg is painting targets on Jmac. Most interesting takeway's.

1. Austin reveals that they have been playing with Vanessa for a long time, and points to being saved in the Jason boot and how he had to grovel as a reason to get rid of Vanessa. (Red Flag number 1 for James, a personal reason to make a game move, mixed with betrayal of a close ally, who he has been with for 4 days).

2. Austin says "Vanessa must have deals all over the house", and James replies that she does not have deal with him (Red Flag number 2). He wants to go to Vanessa, and Meg says no, wait for her to come to him. I don't think James will be able to wait. I truly believe that he is a believer in the power of Vanessa's deals, and not having one with her, going into next week, is making him nervous.

Vanessa reaffirms her F2 with Steve, but will not share targets for next week other than it is not him, or the twins. Steve tells us, he will keep his Final 2 with Vanessa, but she will be covered in the blood of his evictions, giving him the win. I think he is not reading the house correctly at all. He won't be viewed as Ian and Vanessa as Dan. He will be Cody to Vanessa's Derrick (I don't mean gameplay styles, just jury outcome.).

Jmac tells Steve there is not much chance to get Vanessa out, since everyone hates her. Jmac also tells Becky he is depressed, and is willing to backstab anyone except Steve in the game. (Steve gets his first guaranteed jury vote, which he does not realize yet).

I don't expect much real game today. Mainly Austin and Liz risking broken necks as they climb down the HoH stairs due to the weight they carry from inflated heads.

So far, Vanessa has only talked game to Steve. She fluffed up the Austwins after Liz's win, pushed for Becky to go, reaffirmed the spot they sit in with Steve/Jmac pitted against James/Meg. I personally think this is misdirection, and that after noms are set she is going to want Becky gone, but won't worry about making it happen, since Austin has been pretty set on it, and with the rough and tumble of OTEV, Liz feels they are fully justified.

All the real action this week, will be after Monday, and then I expect Vanessa to point out the danger of a trio in the F7 game, and the total control of the house they would hold, if one of them was HoH. I actually feel like Vanessa has worked herself, if not comfortably, into a very good spot to survive next week, regardless of who wins HoH, except for Austin.

I think Vanessa is suffering from the same thing Dan did with Ian. A bitter jury will vote for Steve, except for Jackie whom thought of Steve as a friend and was blindsided.

Kpercyman, Jackie has already absolved Steve of the blindside (from her exit interview with Jeff). Apparently during the commercial break after JMac won veto, Steve told her that he heard he was her backdoor target week 5. So she blames who told Steve (she's probably thinking Vanessa) not Steve himself.

Like Derrick last year, I can accept a Vanessa win this year, but don't have to like it. She certainly worked harder than anyone else to stay in the house and remains the center of the storm called BB 17. They will all regret keeping her the longer she remains.

A James or Johnny Mac win is one I could cheer and feel good about. Still like John (thought his interplay w/Julie when he went into DR to evict was surprising and funny on Thursday), but don't get his moves since Clay nom. Who would throw a Veto at this point in the game, when targets can flip on a dime? I have problems with James in the way he speaks about women and his illusions of being a stud (you have a daughter, do you want guys talking about her that way?). Despite that his playful nature makes him likable and I do appreciate his calm game play, especially the comeback after the Jason eviction. Heck, I'd even be tickled for a win by Granny.

And there's Sasquatch, getting all nasty with his playmate in the HOH room. He's like the foot fungus you can't get rid of. Clay and Shelli fought to save him only to be voted out instead. When will Vanessa turn on the fake tears about how disloyal he is when she decides it's time for him to go? Look how she got the 'screaming bully' Becky and the 'scary crazy man' John in the hot seats. So stupid of them to miss this chance to dump her A$$ this week. Like Steve, wasting a shot at smaller targets. Wait till her sanpaku stare takes Austin and the Gold Dust Twins down.

So unless things change, I'm gonna put a blanket over my head, shield my eyes with shades, and huddle down in my Have Not room until the storm blows thru this week. I'll be praying for either a departure of either Vanessa or an Austwin next week.

Barring a fluke HoH win, Austin or Liz is toast next week. Vanessa has them in a box, they can't take her out without ensuring their own demise in the game, and she will make sure everyone in the house recognizes the significance of next week. She has been playing a long game, and planning this for awhile. They become her shields next.

And when Austin goes up, she is going to remind him that he agreed to be a pawn anytime she needed one. In Austin's re-telling he thinks it was limited to the BoB, but she did not put any conditions on it, and for Vanessa "a deal is a deal". I can easily see her putting him up on the block if she is HoH, and she will have no problem getting all the ammunition she would need. She is not going to have a problem having a reason, Meg and James will have no problem telling her Austwins plans.

BB gods all I want now is a Becky eviction this week, a Vanessa HoH, a Jmac and Austin nomination, Jmac POV win, Liz/Meg renom, and an Austin eviction. I so want Austin OTB next week from Vanessa's hands. I hope we get another Austin sniveling only this time there's no escape.

If Vanessa is HoH, she will not put the twins up, she will put up Austin and a pawn. She will want to keep the twins in, as an additional shield. Her line of discussion this week, after she is safe, will be to hint about week 7. She might even make a deal with James, and as part of that discussion, point out the week 7 problem. But I don't expect her to do anything, until noms are done.

With Austin out, and the twins still in as a threat, Julia makes a good final 3 goat for Vanessa, because she would risk Julia sneaking into the final 2 chair, and if the twins are in, they provide some shield for Vanessa when the returning player comes back.

Ken, in the very weird scenario where she makes a deal with James/Meg, who would be the renom? That's the scenario that made me think Liz/Meg. Liz as the renom will still make her a pawn, with Austin the target. He will pull a Brendon/Clay and give up for her.

Do we really want Austin out next week, with the opportunity of coming back in the house? I believe that Julie would have given us a hint if this Thursday was when the evicted houseguest would reenter the house

I can see Vanessa and Steve ending up in the F2. Ironically, I think the jury will give it to Vanessa. They won't like her but will recognize she played the game. They like Steve but won't be able to see that he played. He's played his game so under the radar that he's going to have to do something drastic to let the players know he's actively playing the game. Two totally different styles of game play and the hated one will end up being the winner. Becky said yesterday that if Vanessa was in the F2 she would vote for her. A very interesting season.

If the triplets are going to be broken up any way starting next week, why not put the last Queen Bee out first? Better than sitting on a Jury voting for her over Steve.

Instead we're going to having a miserable week of mopey John, crying Becky, and slurp face in the HOH room (or, shutter, worse). The only thing to anticipate is when Vanessa will go berserk. Meaning whom she's decided is most dangerous to her. Becky who back-doored her or John who not only has her number, but who has ties to Steve, whom she is cultivating as her goat.

Talk about the dog days of summer.

While the Austwins might be targets next week, with Vanessa still in the house, she could very well be the target over them (esp with a JMac HoH). With Vanessa gone this week, they will definitely be targets next week.

I think Austin and the twins feel like they are invincible, and that everyone trusts them. Austin has live feed discussions telling us that. So, why not break the house down the way they ''want'' it, with Steve/Jmac on one side, and James/Meg on the other, with Vanessa as the weak morsel available to give everyone a week off. But, Austin really believes that trust is greater than self interest. I said before, all these people think Vanessa is being manipulative, but she is not. This is the first time I have seen a player really shine a light on each player's real self interest, and showing them the logic of her position. I don't expect that to change for a while. The Austwins know that if they put Vanessa out, who is not after them, they become vulnerable. Idiot is just to unaware of everyone else's view of the game to realize that next week they are going to be target number one.

I've been lurking on this board for the past 16 seasons. It took 1 season for me to find this group. What I enjoy the most is the depth of analysis people have in this thread. I do not always agree with the suppositions but the points and positions are well explained. Like others, I have my favorites I want to see go further in the game and those I would love to personally kick out the door. At this time my favorite player is James. He comes over like a simple redneck until you watch his moves. James is in no way "politically correct" and in one way that is entertaining in itself. Austin seems like a gentle giant. It seems he came into the game with one idea and found or attached himself to an ideal. That ideal might not hold up outside the BB house. Steve and JMac arrived late at the game to start playing. Both have dual dueling characters, Steve is not sure of himself while JMac is.

As for the women, Vanessa usually plays the best game but she needs to take the emotion out of play. I'm not sure she can do that. For me, Becky needs to get a life, the twins need to grow up and Meg is Meg.

Welcome Pukahs.....I like your analysis of the players. I find that Austin "wants" to have an ego but the twins shoot him down almost any time he tries to do anything and then feel bad and let him "think" he is the "man".
Case in point, him complaining last night that he could have won OTEV but Liz wouldn't throw it to him but he did knock Becky out. He continues to say, and have Liz parrot. that this is a Co-HOH. But if you have live feeds watch him try to tell a story. Those two girls are all over the place and he has to stop his tale while they do their shtick, then continue on from where he was only to be stopped again. Man, he has the patience as I would be so out of there with those two.
Me thinks he thinks he understands the game when he doesn't. He asks others to help him with past seasons as though he can't remember, but in reality he is looking for information. If I were Steve I would lie to him and watch him pass on that information as though it were the truth.
Oh well, have a great Sunday and continue to post.

JMac has disappointed me this week in his game play. It started with the DE and has continued. James is coming out stronger and I would love for him to work with Vanessa. He has a way that makes him somewhat immune to her vapor (sometimes though he surprises me with his ineptness). My dream final 4 as of now consists of James, Vanessa, Julia and Jackie (if she were to return). I think they have played a great game. Julia consistently slides under the radar with Liz/Austin being the two main targets.

Vanessa is still my fav, but I do like James a lot too. I think he has a very good shot to win this season as long as he stays away from the block. Ever since Ken mentioned Vanessa and James working together, I have been on that train too. James, Steve, and Julia are the only ones I think will work with Vanessa at this point in the game. Vanessa would never win against James in F2, and would know to cut him before final 2, even before final 3.

I like your dream 4, except mine will replace Jackie with Steve. I'm not really a Jackie fan. And since I am a Vanessa fan I do want people who will preserve her in the game.

Steve is a conundrum to me. He acts like he doesn't understand things so that people will break it down for him. I don't think he's dumb, but rather this is his act. He was constantly asking JMac for more information when JMac was telling him about Vanessa, but I think that woke him up to what she was doing.
He is so hard to watch now because he talks through clenched teeth. His jaw must really be hurting him or he had it wired shut as that is how it appears when he is talking.
If he is like this in real life I am afraid he would be someone I would avoid.

I also truly appreciate how this site brings people together. Often folks share similar thoughts at the same time in back to back posts and we cheer them on. With the added LIKE button, we can now voice our appreciation of each others posts even more. YAY. BBU gives us nice things.and.stuff.

Early this season I was reading a funny post with a Like count of 2. I was going to click the Like button when I decided to see who had already Liked it. I saw their names and smiled as we share the same sense of humor. I then clicked the Like button and the number of Likes when from 2 to 4.

I blinked. What ~~> 2 to 4 in the blink of an eye. I checked who had Liked the post ~~> and at the same time another member had liked the same post as I did.

I experienced my first LIKE AAO. I was humbled yet proud at the same time. SOMEONE LIKED something the same time I did. I LIKED something the same time SOMEONE else did. WOA!

So BBU is not only exciting on purpose, it's also exciting in stealth mode.

OhThisHouse, you can ''Like'' comments though it takes a little more time... you have to click on the name of the member's comment that you like and it will take you to their profile which has a list of their posts, including their comments and by each post there will be a ''Like'' button which you can then click. They will get notified in their Message Center that their comment was liked.

The triplets gotta keep Vanessa. They gotta do whatever it takes to protect the odds of their threesome moving forward.

My mice screwed up in how they managed the house from the beginning, and though they made a late save and gave themselves pretty good odds going into the DE, their mismanagement of Steve came back to haunt them. That's the way chance works in the BB house.

Sorry for my mice, but the triplets have to keep Vanessa this round. For their own game.



Edit: But what if Shelli comes back into the game while Vanessa is still hovering around the seat of power -- what will that do and should the triplets be thinking about that?

Good morning all- Having major computer problems but a new one is not in the budget right now. I may have to go next door to get my fix.

LCn how can you tell who has liked a post? I tried to find out on your post above and I do see who has liked it. It just kept going from like to unlike.

I am still pulling for Vanessa, but I do not see anyway she makes it to F2. Austin and the twins have a reason to be upset with her for the HOH that sent Jason home. Julia has forgotten about the conversation she had with Vanessa. Vanessa explained how she could not keep Liz off the block but had a plan to make sure she was safe. The entire house is bashing her for making all her deals. They all have done the same thing. Austin tried with Jason and failed. Austin and the twins are doing the same thing they are bashing her for. I hope next week someone spills to Vanessa everything they have said this week.

A wild dream for me is Johnny wins HOH . He puts up Vanessa and Meg. James wins POV, saves Meg. Johnny would not put up Steve so that just leaves Austin or one of the twins. James and Meg decide to tell Vanessa everything. Steve, James and Meg saves Vanessa. A girl can dream.
