Morning geo, and all who follow,

Austin surprises, the twins are cutthroat, and Vanessa is getting stuck in a corner.

Vanessa has re-solidified her grouping with the twins/Austin, and so now is stuck with them for the time being. She is low-man on the totem pole, with them, and is 6^th place, for Austin and Liz, in the James/Meg Brass Tacks alliance. I believe Julia would boot James before Vanessa, which for her, would be a correct read of where she stands in that grouping. Vanessa, in the short game, is not going to put Julia out, unless it is at F3, and even then, I am not sure she does not trade two sure votes, for the lesser player in Julia over someone like Steve.

Austin has a moment of extreme clarity, and realizes keeping James and Meg to the F5 makes the most sense for him and the twins (at least Liz). I think his gamble is Jackie does not come back. He and the twins talk, and realize that James/Meg are much easier to beat in F5 rather than Steve/Vanessa, and so will vote out accordingly. The twins want to win this thing, and while loyalty to Vanessa is nice, that only takes them so far in the game, and they know it. It was a refreshing surprise to see them so aware of their own self-interest.

Vanessa is walking a fine line, having cleared the air with Jmac and Steve. She wants to preserve Steve, but does not want to make too big a show of it. She tells the Austwins, I am voting how you want, and really has to, until the returning juror situation is straightened out.

Right now, Noms will stay the same today, and Jmac is the likely boot. That could easily change by Thursday night. Then the plinko ball will bounce around a few more pegs, as the returning Juror will drive the 2^nd F8 to F5 portion of the game. Becky is probably a return to sender if she does not win HoH. Jackie very probably drives a strike at Vanessa or Austwins (with some outside perspective, it very well could be the Austwins alone). Shelli, if Jmac is out, becomes a third for Vanessa and Steve, with either James are Austin as a primary target if she is HoH.

I think the days of throwing comps are over now, with everyone trying to get power for safety.

Morning all, I woke up overnight and had to peek. Looks like James and Meg talked with Austin and Liz, then James confronted John about John saying that James told him that he would throw this last HoH to him if they were the last two.

Then they played Hide & Seek and I went back to sleep. I think we landed at Austin will tell Vanessa not to use the veto, probably John going home, but Steve was being dissected also so he could be in danger too.

As of ten minutes ago, Austin and Liz are leaning towards getting rid of Steve. They think Steve is too 'sketchy' and that Johnny Mac will work with them. Steve's comment to James that Austin and the twins are an 'impenetrable force' which James relayed to Austin did not help Steve's case.

Thank you BBU.....I have been lurking all season.....I'm am so grateful for all the wonderful posters on this site. I don't have a favorite this season so I am enjoying all the in-depth posts and all the back and forth good natured posts.

Morning, everyone! ((((((((Jen123))))))) I see that the Nono F8 Curse is still very much active. Poor JMac....I wish I had discovered that the curse existed before I chose him as my favorite.

Blogzie, I see your post above that Austin and Liz have flipped to getting Steve out, but their flippy-floppyness has become world-renowned, so I don't think I can count on that lasting.

Vanessa, somewhere in all of her paranoia, lost track of what was going on in the game. She's just now realizing that she's between a rock and a hard place. If we believe what she says about herself, she supposedly reads people and the game better than anyone in the house (and why wouldn't we believe her? She's a straight-shooter and all she has is her integrity). Yet she didn't read it well enough to know that James/Meg have taken her place with Austin/Liz/Julia (and that's not even an extremely recent development). I think she counted on being able to manipulate them into doing what she wants (she did say yesterday that she gets what she wants), so it probably really surprised her that she's going to end up with no one firmly in her camp. She made a strong effort yesterday to forge a team more loyal to her than to the Austwins, but she waited too late.

With JMac on his way out, my only goal is to get the Austwins off of my live feeds. So I need Vanessa or someone to figure out a plan.

I think the Returning Juror has the POSSIBILITY of actually making a difference in the game this year. If the right person comes back and the right person wins HoH, then there is a tiny hope that at least two of the Austwins end up on the block. Though James saying he'll stick with the Austwins over Jackie is worrisome....he knows that he as to break them up, doesn't he? James/Meg sure act like they are with the Austwins to F5, so Yuck. (I am pulling for James mainly because so many of my BBU friends love him, but I really need him to back away from the twins.)

Now that Vanessa realizes she can't control this group that she's at the bottom of, she might actually make a move against the Austwins simply to survive in the game. She needs to hope that the Returning Juror is someone she can convince to work with her or she's toast. And I'm strongly hoping that the Returning Juror is someone who will go against the Austwins after looking at the overall picture even if Vanessa is not on board.

Remember, after the Returning Juror comes in this Thurday, there is a Double Eviction on the very near horizon (probably a week from Thursday). We're going to be down to F5 in no time. I NEED Austin and Liz to be the next two boots after JMac, okay?

i'm so over Vanessa's manipulation by crying. seriously. I haven't watched the feeds but I have listened to a couple of podcasts that feature sound bytes from the show. I just hope that if I was in that house I wouldn't succumb to the mist. Hopefully my cynicism would keep me above it. Seriously, if she asks one more person "Do you understand?" I might scream at the television. I would definitely be turned off by her saying that to me in person and would snap at her and then she'd go cry to someone in the house and tell them I'm dangerous and she's afraid I'll kill her in her sleep. I mean, if Johnny Mac "screamed" at her and frightened her and made her worry about sleeping, she'd really be afraid of me when I yelled at her "YES, I SPEAK ENGLISH, VANESSA. I ALSO SPEAK FRENCH SO YOU CAN SAY IT TO ME IN FRENCH TOO".

One more post before I go out into the real world (or is THIS the real world...who knows). I read above, KeninVA, where you said that the twins want to win, and they want to stick with James/Meg because they think they can beat them more easily than Vanessa/Steve. My thoughts on that? They're just mimicking words...that's what Austin says, so that's what they say. The twins, in my view, are making a mockery of what Big Brother is supposed to be. Okay, that's a little strong....but honestly? We're playing "Will you be my girlfriend?" on Big Brother? And the biggest concern for the twins is whether or not Austin checks on them before going outside? We're actually enduring live feeds where Steve (a super fan) is relaying messages in a grade school game of "Do You Like Me?" and his conversation with the twins yesterday included telling Julia that her sister has a boyfriend?

The twins don't really know enough to gauge if they can beat Meg/James easily at the end. The reason they want to keep Meg/James? Because they are MORE FUN than Vanessa/Steve. Their words, I kid you not.

There's so many ways to disarm the Vanessa bomb. A calm confident person (sounded like Caesar Milan there) could say something like 'My goodness, you're so intense' or 'Wow, your eyes get huge when you get excited'. Say it with a smile, getting her off topic when she tries to hold court, pontificating on why you must do what she needs you to do to better her game. Of course, you then release the Kraken on you, but the other trick is to laugh about her with others commenting on the large eyes or intensity, not on what she says but how she says it. It lets the air out of her game and gets others to not listen as closely to the words, as they chuckle at her performance.

I still believe she'll be the ultimate target next round, though the triplets should be busted up. If she doesn't win HOH or Veto she's toast. If she's HOH she will target James and returning HG (unless Shelli), not the triplets. Not the way I think they should play, just the way the game's going.

For sure at least one of the triplets will make it to the final three, probably Liz or Austin since Julia is their sacrificial lamb. A twin would be most lucky in final two since they'd have two assured votes. Austin may not get Julia's. Right now, if Vanessa survives to the final two, she wins, and the reverse is Meg who is a guaranteed loser. The match-ups and final plays will determine wins of everyone else.

I'm going to release my plinko chip and say Steve leaves on Thursday and Becky returns. Vanessa wins HOH and Becky departs in first round of DE the next week with Vanessa following her in the speed round. Triplets then clean house to the sadness of CBS as everyone stops watching the show. Julie quits, handing the microphone over to Jeff. Big Brother ends with a whimper. Only Miss Whiskers will cheer since she gets her momma back (Sgt B will be watching football so won't notice till after Super Bowl). I'll be sadder than the markets today, ouch.

Of course, I'm the one who said in 2007, 'Barak who?' So what do I know? I've stopped watching BBAD since can't stand the HOH ho-show, so depend on y'all who are brave enough to watch. If Liz wins HOH again, they'll have to move the show to the Playboy channel.

OK, enough BettyBoo whining. I got through Rachel winning, so I can take it this season. Hope for the best, James or John win, and prepare for the worst, Liz and Austin final two (shudder).

Lets just wait and see what the POV ceremony shows.... Does James get backdoored or not. I'm leaning to still YES. Do I think he still goes out on Thursday, YES. DR will NOT allow Steve or JMac to get the boot going into buy back. They will want them BOTH in the game to win the HOH and turn this failing season around. Right now viewership compared to current competitive programming is better but still below previous years'. AG wants the Austwins broken up, it's better story telling. Vanessa getting so close but being booted 3rd or 4th by the likes of say JMac & Steve even better. There is a script that needs following folks and on it; it stays James gets evicted this week.

People have to remember this is NOT a reality competition or game show; this is a loosely scripted show that just happens to fall into the reality classification by design. There is an outline in place that production follows and the HGs steered to follow by specific direction by the DR.

Good point. I'd actually forgotten how much AG likes to stick her oar in because the HGs themselves have been such a mess this year.

Good morning all! Vanessa calling Meg or anyone a hypocrite or paranoid is laughable (and I'm not a fan of either one of them). I'll give Vanessa strategic credit, but her delusion that she's a straight shooter, a logical but not emotional player, that anyone could come to her with a concern and she's the most calm, reasonable person is just that...delusion. She truly believes it. Guess it was someone else who flipped out on a different person every week. Austwins want to have fun? What a joke. Now that he and Liz are "official", I expect that Austen the Romantic Boob will want to get married immediately (probably get registered at Fingerhut). The twins don't have an original thought between them...dumb and dumber. Loud, catty, obnoxious bimbos. Julia's constant put downs of Jmac? "He hasn't won anything". Seriously? What have you won, honey? Between all 4 of them, if I had to choose a winner, I'd have to go with Vanessa because I just can't with Austwins. Listening to Austen/Liz last night criticizing Clay/Shelli's game (playing all sides, too many deals, "you can't do that!): uhhmmm, isn't that exactly what you 2 have done and what made this week "the toughest HOH in history"? Not "victims are we all" Austen...more like "idiots are we all". I will continue to hope that Jmac survives this week. Vanessa should realize that Jmac is the only one this week that volunteered the whole truth to her....her "alliance" didn't. James and Meg want to keep Austwins until final 5? What is WRONG with these people?????

Just out of curiosity .....does anyone believe that Vanessa (or AG)doesn't really care who goes home this week as long as the person has a 'Y' chromosome? I'm still thinking that she wants an all-female final. I believe when she was talking to Meg that she brought it up. Just to get a reaction probably. Of the 4 contestants possibly coming back there will be 3 women and 1 man. With a possible woman coming back, there would be 5 women and 3 men with only 2 men being able to play for HOH this week................

Day 1 it was talked about between Day, Audrey and Shelli.

Could this possibly be the script for BB17???
