    Morning all.

I have just thrown my hands in the air. I have no clue whatsoever what Vanessa is up to or what she plans for her end game. I did notice that Austin and Liz didn't jump on her latest scheme. They must be weary of her.

I think Vanessa is creating chaos in hopes that somehow she comes out ahead once order is re-established. Or maybe I'm giving her too much credit, geo...maybe she really just likes drama. Or maybe she's a bit cray-cray?

Truth be told, I don't think she knows what she is doing. There is no logic to it. But if it irritates the Austwins, more power to her (I want them irritated AND off of my screen).

What chaos has she created? She told her alliance about someone on the block, telling her, I would target them, if I survive and stay in the game. I think Austin causes more chaos by being so indecisive.

So I had to get a chuckle... Vanessa thinks the game has been the most predictable?

And she has decided that the feedsters are wrong about their definition of backdoor. She says that we should change it because she, someone who has played the game, thinks her definition is better since we feedsters have never actually played.

Hmmm... could this be a play by TPTB like the Sheep in Wolves Clothing? to give to JMac to win so he can win DPOV & replace himself & Steve with the twins? Boy that would be something as long as he/whoever wins it stays away from the Goblins I'd be happy if that's the case!

Just looked and it is a big black "pawn" piece and looks like it is in the storage room. Do you think that maybe, just maybe if they open the glass case the week resets? Wouldn't that be funny, but then again Steve might know this and he tells everything so..............

I think it would be more significant knowing which piece it was.
    Pawn?
    Queen?

Morning geo, and all who follow,

Vanessa plays both sides, Meg and James plan for the future, the twins continue to play the game and the eviction is still up in the air.

The big news from yesterday, is Vanessa coming out to shore up her position in the house. She has covered herself with Steve, by getting the Twins to commit to voting to keep Steve, and her assuring Steve, she is voting with them. She re-enforced that yesterday, telling Steve, Jmac is not good at campaigning, and that he does not know the decision to keep Steve was already made. If the vote switches, Steve is going to blame Austwins, not Vanessa.

Meanwhile, she outs Jmac to the Austwins, covering herself with them, by ensuring that they know everything he has said, including targeting them as Job One if he is HoH. She then encourages the twins to talk to Jmac, and brings the Austin plan of getting Jmac to agree to throw HoH and go up as a pawn with the returning player, so that player can be voted out. Jmac, when offered that deal takes it, and further tells the twins, he will not nominate them or Austin. When the twins report the deal back to Vanessa, they lie to her, and say it was for all 4 of them. It will be interesting to see if Jmac tells her they did not include her in the safety net.

Meg hardens on Vanessa as her number one target. James neither agrees nor disagrees with her. They just know they want Jackie or Becky back in the game, with Jackie as the number one choice. When Austin talks to Meg and James, Meg pushes subtly for a Steve boot, since she saw Vanessa studying with Steve earlier. Austin actually plays it off, pretty well, implying that they are trying to trip each other up, and when Meg pushes back against that, Austin puts his worried frown look on, and then the subject changes. James and Meg have no idea how close Vanessa and Steve and the Austwins have become again, and that Vanessa has already closed this loop with them, by telling them earlier when Austin asked her to make up with Steve, that she would, including studying with him, since if he went out, it won’t matter. Austin does not reveal any of that with them. In fact, Austin’s discussion with them pretty much follows the script he Vanessa and Liz develop at the end of the 6:15 P.M. discussion.

Julia has a brief convo with James and Meg last night, and tells them, we all need to vote together. Whoever leaves has to be voted out unanimously, so that if they come back in, three people are not left hanging out, having voted that person out, and two people are not hanging out with whoever was left behind. This is actually smart on her part, and cuts off one avenue of Vanessa plotting, which was to hang James/Meg out to being on the downside of a blindside eviction.

I think Vanessa is working to preserve Steve, prime Jmac to come back in pointed at Austwins, and shore up her position with Austwins, by appearing to be more loyal to them than to anyone else. She is covered with them, with Steve, and with Jmac should he return after Thursday night. Her only real threat, at this point, is Meg and James, with a 75/25 shot at turning a returning juror away from her. (Jackie is the big question mark. Shelli, Becky and Jmac will likely not target her, until at least one Austwin is out and for Shelli, she may need James out as well, before she turns on Vanessa).

There will be a big meeting tonight, to discuss who to vote out. I expect Vanessa will not be included in that discussion. Jmac is a few steps closer to the front door than Steve, at this point, but he is hardly a sure boot either.

Thanks for the heads up, Augie....just flashed back to see. It appears on Camera 2 at 4:12:26 am BBT and the camera stays on it for about 8 minutes, then back to sleeping HGs. Wonder if it means anything or if TPTB are just playing with them? Could be announcing the type of comp the Returning HGs will play to get back in (not that they'd play chess, but that chess is the decor or something). Or could just be a joke. I can't tell how large it is because the camera perspective. And what table is it sitting on? Those are cereal boxes in the background, right?

OR it might be that the HoH comp is the date comp and they have to move a chess piece to the correct day based on a question (like they had to punch out the correct day in the boxing comp last year). OR it could be TPTB are playing with our minds.

To me it looks like the chess piece is inside of something. Maybe it will have to do with a veto winner getting some kind of power. Did Ian get a special power when he got a special yellow ball?

Is there a glass table outside, Lynette? Or is the table new too? And since it's outside, I wonder if the chess piece will still be there when the HGs wake up? Maybe it was just a hint for the feedsters?

I forgot to say morning to everyone! Here's a question: If JMac is evicted Thursday night, a victim of The Nono F8 Curse, but he comes back in and then is evicted next Thursday night when there are again 8 in the house....is it a DOUBLE Nono F8 Curse???????????? Poor JMac. He's got to fight through TWO F8 Curses that I wrought.

I think Vanessa is overplaying once again, but she tends to do that and now I'm used to it. I'm all for anything that sets up a boot of an Austwin next week, so more power to her. While I laughed at her hyperactivity last night (along with shakes of my head....Vanessa, Vanessa, Vanessa....you are too dang smart to play like this), when it comes down to it I can't see why she would have any reason to keep JMac over Steve UNLESS she wants to flip sides.

And since it doesn't appear that Vanessa wants to switch sides (why does she think she can win if she is F4 with Austwins?), then she has to keep Steve, doesn't she. JMac only does her good if she's going to try to take the Austwins out. And JMac is not an absolutely certain ally. He normally says what he means, but he has already mentioned that he would lie to Vanessa, and I don't know if I would count on the words of a man who is going to be evicted unless he says what you want to hear.

I've got another long day, and then wine-tasting night tonight. I'll check back in during the day....y'all let me know if you find out more about the chess piece! Be sweet and have fun.

I think her V4 plan, if she is forced into it, is win the F4 PoV, which, on the face of it, would be hers to lose.... Except Jason, the historian would tell her that F4 PoV is the rock on which many of the smartest players founder. Michele, BB11, and Ian in S14 are two of the most famous examples that come to mind. Andy had to get every other brain out of the house, leaving only GM, Spencer, and Mccrae to face him. Liz/Julia/Austin are way smarter than that. (I know you don't think the twins are smart, but I am speaking in relative terms).

So Ken is right it appears the Austwins are firmly back with Vanessa (for the moment) as Austin isn't giving Goblins information. I wish one of the trio would slip about Vanessa's plan & they could talk to JMac so he would out info to them. Also hope at some point Steve talks to them and outs some info so they recognize the need to target the trio prior to Vanessa.

NoNo: I think it was you who was asking what JMac has against the Goblins and in truth I think it's only residual anger from all his previous partners: Clay was mad at James for nom, Shelli was furious at James for nomination & outing the info they shared, Becky was mad they didn't do what she wanted. They've never actually done anything specifically TO JMac, rather his allies predominantly didn't want to work with them.

Of note: when JMac told Vanessa the Goblins need to recognize a F5 with the trio is a lose-lose situation as it's just the 2 of them with Meg not being able to win vs. the 3, so they need to realign with the 2 remaining players plus returnee to target the triplets. Hopefully he has this conversation with James who will see the logic better than if he just tells Meg. I'm also hoping there is an information dump between these 3 so they can suss out how reliable Vanessa is & hopefully tell JMac that Vanessa was studying with Steve yesterday he knows she's playing him/all sides. Will it help JMac stay.. NO but it will highlight the target needs to be Liz, Austin, Vanessa (in that order) or Liz, Vanessa, Austin.

I also thought it was interesting James finally reintroduced the fact Austin had said he didn't want the big money in order to stay off the block going back to the week Jason was evicted. James remembered that and therefore will never give him the big $. That may be why he's willing to keep Austin around longer & I suspect will prefer to take out the 2 twins prior to Austin b/c of it. He introduces a great point. Why would the jurors give him the money if he did get to F2? Still, I'd want him out just due to his shear size. If I'm James I want Jackie/Becky back tomorrow & a F4 of himself, Meg, returnee & Julia with her voted out at F4. But of course that's a long shot though stranger things have happened.

        Some additional comments:

        1. James has upped his game in the last 24 hours, breaking out of his fun and games routine long enough to think through some of the game implications going forward of various boots.

        2. I actually see a path for two twins and Meg as the Final 3 of the game.

So, to revise my numbers from yesterday, 8 players in the house, 6 possible winners (Vanessa, Austin, Liz, Julia, Steve, James) and 7 possible F2's, with the returning Juror being another possible F2 chair, for 8 people with a legitimate shot at making it to the end game.

It feels like the house is wide open to me.

Ladies, we have to take the good with the bad. The same path that potentially made me re-evaluate James chances for a F2 seat, made we re-analyze the twins and Meg's position.

Jackie comes in, and gets Vanessa out, Steve or an Austwin, gets Jackie out (in the double most likely), James at F6 gets Steve out. (Here is where it could reverse, Austin might be forced to boot Steve, making him available for James to boot him at F5). Austin gets James out at F5, Liz wins F4 HoH and F4 PoV, she keeps her sister off the block, Julia boots Austin. Liz and Julia clean Meg's clock in the F3 comps, boot Meg and take each other to a 550K win.

And, I am not kidding about Liz winning F4 PoV. She has exactly the same characteristics as Danielle (S14) and Kevin (S11). They knew the dates and significant events around people, but were slower then Ian or Michele at putting it together. That becomes important, since the speedier contestants tend to make an error along the way, and then can't find it quickly enough. The people who know the material, but have a slower processing speed, generally are slower because they are conducting an internal check of the memory recall, and therefore tend to get the answer right the first time. I can easily see Liz winning that comp, and booting Vanessa at F4, if Vanessa is not the HoH. For me, the most interesting scenario is just that, Vanessa is the HoH, and Liz wins PoV. Who does she boot? Her sister, or Austin?

Ken, that last sentence is a doozy. I don't want them at the end but that scenerio of who does Liz boot would be epic. I think we would actually see smoke come out of her ears. I think she keeps her sister.

Ditto on Sister Power, since they're sharing the pot a'gold it adds 50k to jackpot. Austin only adds stink.

Vanessa does create an atmosphere of chaos and fear that if you dare say anything to anyone it'll not just be shared but turned against you. Cry because Zingbot made fun if you losing? Well Meg must be plotting to kill us in our sleep. Refuse to make a deal with Vanessa, becomes you screamed at her and you're on the scale from bully to unstable. No wonder having 'fun' is so important to the trio, Meg & James and John and Steve hide out. Dealing with Vanessa 24/7 has to be like SEAL or Ranger training - too intense for most normal people.

For her to get to the final two if she's in a final four with the triplets, she must win every comp. I only see a scenario if she's in the final three with Julia and Austin, that Julia might risk Liz's rath and take Vanessa since she dislikes Austin, but still doubt Julia would do it. I just don't see anyone willingly taking her to the final two, not even Steve. So unless she can win her way to the final two, all her game moves were for naught. To fight that hard for third or fourth place? Really?

Well she can go home to her mansion, no she's selling it. Or her expensive car, no she's giving it to Julia. Or home to her girlfriend, nope, she's moved on to somebody fun after a summer of R&R without Vanessa.

My guess on the pawn piece is that the returning HG game will be the chess board game where they flip the previous step over as they play. Well see that live tomorrow, then they'll 'hide' the HOH comp.

Maybe, but that comp can take along time for 4 people to play it out live. Normally, they need a return comp to be finished in about 8 to 10 minutes total time, to fit within the time frame of the show, and they can't do it offline, because they don't get the 4th player until halfway through the Thursday show. Another option is to make it a F8 HoH comp, with 7 players on the board. Then a group can engage in a cooperative strategy to block out the other group. Steve, Liz, Julia, and Vanessa, could cooperate to take out James, meg and the returnee, giving one of them power to get the returnee or James out of the house. Just not sure how you place them on a board to have an equal starting point.

Yes they could. It's a Survivor competition. They draw for spots and who goes first. This also has the potential for someone like Meg or Julia to win by mistake as the others make aggressive moves to take out targets like Liztin, Vanessa, James, Steve & returnee

I think through all Vanessa's convoluted gaming the last few days, she wants to keep JMac. She has to be subtle about it to make sure her ass is covered on all sides, but she knows these things: Jmac has been the only one to actually tell her the truth. She believes he's a lesser player than Steve (good on JMac to have them all believing he's a recruit rather than a huge fan). She knows Austwins are trying to preserve Meg/James as long as possible. She knows she's expendable to all of them. I believe if the twins tell her today that they want to keep Steve for sure, she will let Johnny know he needs to get Meg/James votes, and she could plan another public episode with Steve (or suddenly remember something damning about him) to seal his fate and justify her voting him out.

I think that if she does that, she is going to read Steve into a plan to keep them ''separated'' in the Austwin's minds, so they don't end up on the block together. I also think though, that Jmac is not going to get James/Meg to vote against the Twins interests. Julia made a brilliant play last night, without knowing anything about the Vanessa/Liz/Austin discussion by the way, to reinforce with J/M that they need to vote together so there are no exposed targets for either the one left behind or the one that gets the boot and might come back in.
