Website/Server Upgrade UPDATE - Today 9/4 @ 10 AM

I just wanted to say that Rob has done a marvelous job with the website this season.

He's kept it up and running during the high traffic times -- so well that you probably haven't even noticed a bump along the way, even on those double eviction nights ( which we have one coming up this Thursday)

Tonight ... ( 8/31 ) there will be an upgrade in process around 1 AM Eastern Time ( so technically that's 9/1 for the East Coasters ) ..

Please note that you may experience just a few minutes of downtime, during the process.

This upgrade is needed so that the website will continue to run smoothly and to fix any issues that we've had along the way. It will also provide maintenance for the BBU Chat Room.

I also wanted to add, that some of you guys might have experienced some lag time or not being able to access the website this afternoon. JUST WHEN I WAS BRAGGING ON IT RIGHT?!!

We apologize for that, but they were gearing up for the upgrade tonight and there was a small glitch that happened for some - not all. So, if you were not able to access us for just a bit, again we apologize and don't worry if you can't access us for just a bit during that 1 AM time frame when the upgrade will happen, it shouldn't be much down time at all, but please know that Rob will be monitoring it and working to get everything running smoothly.

I used hubby's card and email but I added my user name in the 'Note to Seller' spot.

Just another update on the upgrade ...


It's not complete... there were several things that Rob had to work on ...

I was not able to get on the website this afternoon. I think I first tried about 1:45 pm eastern time until about 3:30 when I decided it was a good time to take a nap. I'm so happy it is working now! Wondered if it affected others?

Lexie will probably address this more later but they were having some trouble with the data centers today and Rob and a team of tech people had been working on it feverishly and now seem to have it all fixed and all updating/upgrading is completed!!! Woo Hoo!

Sorry for the troubles that some of you guys have been experiencing over the last couple of days. We encountered some unforeseen issues during the upgrade process.

Once again, thanks to Rob and his team for working feverishly to get us ready for tonight's big event.

We all should be good to go .. hopefully no one is experiencing any login issues.

We truly, truly apologize for the inconvenience, the data center in which the servers that we use had issues, which caused some downtime for BBU, it certainly wasn't something we'd banked on happening, as we were trying to complete the upgrade in order to do what we needed due to increased traffic, to avoid any delays, it was "just one of those things" that was out of our hands, but again Rob pulled us through as quickly as he could.

Some of the process of the upgrade has been completed, Rob has put the other part on hold, until next week, since we have tonight's double eviction with all the drama that follows it.

We expect high traffic tonight, but again, you should not experience any login issues.

The first of the month is here again and we need your help to continue to help pay the expenses that it takes to keep everything going.

The hardware fix we were going to apply today had to be put off until tomorrow due to resource allocation. It should only take half an hour. So just be aware if you have some problems tomorrow. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience but this is all to make the site run better for you. Thanks!
