Morning all. We may see Part 2 today.

Nothing has changed from yesterday. Winner of part 2 will determine if the game ends now, or we have another 5 days of psychological warfare, as Vanessa has to pressure Steve to keep her in the game to F2. I am hoping for Liz to crush Steve in part 2, so I can stop worrying about how the end plays out, and ramp up for survivor. But that is just me. This has been a top 5 season for me, and the best season since Alison "America" Grodner took over the franchise. No rigs, No twists aimed at advantaging one player over another, and enough twists and suspenseful boots, that from week to week, I never knew where we were going.

Nothing to see today, until after Part 2 is played, which if memory serves, is almost always at night.

The after taste of the season is settling in early for me this year. It felt like the whole season was one big advantage - put a professional poker player in that house with a bunch of silly kids (oldest HG was 33? ish). Even the ''superfans'' acted like silly kids in Vanessaville.
How about no more rejects from MTV (twins) or WWE (no name necessary) ? OK, done pouting. Good vibes for next time.

JMac for President!! Vanessa for the win - her poor brain after all this - she earned it. The other 2 - bah! (Never did I ever think I'd accept V winning)

If Liz wins second part and then she wins 3rd - do you think she would take Steve to pay her back for Austin?

I think Liz evicts Steve. First, she knows that Steve is great with speeches, knows the game, and has been working with them since week 3. Those points count towards him being able to sway the jury. In her head, Vanessa has angered many jurors, and will lose to her (it might still happen if the jury is bitter). Also, Steve evicted her sister, Vanessa evicted her bf, in choosing between her sister and her bf, she will choose her sister, keep Vanessa and evict Steve.

She has also been about girl power this season, thinks the jury being full of females will give a guy the win over a girl, and so will keep Vanessa over Steve. I do think that Steve might be able to convince her to evict Vanessa by showing her that she loses to Vanessa, and wins with him, but Steve has never been able to use his words well all season and might not pull it off.

Still can't vote. Kinda glad nothing much going on in house as I feel crappy today. Doesn't help I have compromised immune system (auto immune disorder). Lol, maybe BBU is passing a virus around.

Morning, everyone!
I didn't realize how much I'd miss JMac. Usually by this time I've had time to get over my HG leaving...I've never had a favorite make it to F4. But even though I'm not checked in to BB, I'm still donating to BBU. So y'all don't forget they need us now....and even more during the year so they can still be around for BB18 (hoping for All-Stars).

I didn't get to see the show Wednesday night, but I did go back to watch JMac's interview with Julie. So he would have evicted Vanessa if he had won the F4 PoV, which means there was no way I was going to get to my F3 of JMac/Steve/Vanessa. I guess I lost that dream when Vanessa won F5 HoH making her unable to play for F4 HoH. If she had been F4 HoH, then maybe I could have had my dream F3 if JMac or Steve had won PoV. Would that have worked? Oh, well.... (A side note: I don't think TPTB care who wins this year. A Liz win is a boost for their Twin Twist and they get to pat themselves on the back, Vanessa is one of their celebrity gimmicks, and Steve is a Super Fan.)

KeninVA is right. They've done night time Final HoH Part 2s since BB14. And they've all been scaling the wall in some fashion. Since the HGs know this, I hope they surprise them with the underwater comp from BB13 (Porsche beat Adam) and BB8 (Dick beat Zach (thanks, ManaDee ). Or something different altogether. It doesn't really matter to me EXCEPT I like for the HGs to be surprised.

Does anyone else wonder if the Final HoH Part 3 next Wednesday might be something other than Jury Statements? I know, I know....Jury Statements as Part 3 is a tradition. BUT the F4 HoH was very similar to Jury Statements in format and in playing: They listened to a recording of what HGs said and then had to choose from the answer multiple choice.

It's not like them to do two comps so similar this close together. So I won't be surprised if Part 3 of the HoH is NOT Jury Statements, but instead a new comp we haven't seen.


Oh....and one more thing: I don't think it's a given that Liz takes Vanessa if she wins Part 3. Liz lies very well. There is a lot of time between now and next Wednesday.

KeninVA, you don't have to spend the time explaining why you disagree with me because I KNOW you disagree with me. I'm not saying that absolutely Liz takes Steve, just saying that Liz is smart and she lies (they all do). There's way too much time to know anything for certain with one of the flippiest flopper twins.

If it is Jury statements I could see Vanessa losing, since she socialized so little with everyone especially during her HOH reigns when she hid in the HOH room and never came out. I could easily see Steve or Liz doing better in that comp because they got to know everyone better than she did.

Liz told NO ONE about that vote so she is definitely capable of shocking. Ultimately, I don't know if the thing that will push her over the edge is the female vs. male F2. Surely she knows she can't beat Vanessa righttttttttt-uh? Well maybe not.

I have loved this season of BB17 so much. Best season ever to me except for Dan's season. Not many tv shows will keep me up watching the feeds until 5 am like I did during the last endurance competition. Thanks to this site for all the discussions and especially KeninVA for my early morning read. First thing I go to in the morning is the Live Discussion thread to read KeninVA. I am having withdrawal symptoms and it isn't even over yet. Go Vanessa go.

Hello Everyone

I know most of you do not like Vanessa, but I just have to say this anyway...Vanessa for the win!!! IMO, Vanessa played a much better, complex, annoying game. She never stopped to smell the roses, she never sat back and relaxed...she just kept plugging away for 3 long months throughout the summer. The girl has gumption - I will give her credit for that. That is why I want her to win. And Steve? Dear sweet Steve, he allows himself to be talked into the dumbest things even though he claims to be a superfan, then he cries about it afterwards like a baby. Liz? I STILL say she is only there because she was carried there at least halfway throughout the game. Bye bye Liz: I hope you are evicted, and I wish for a Vanessa / Steve F-2. I hope Vanessa takes the 500K, and Steve gets the 50K. Nothing for Liz. Also, I want the curse to be broken of having a guy win over a girl in the end.

I had to post again to fix my error (I promise I knew Dick beat Dani....I'm just that ridiculously out of it at times, which is not a compliment to me.) As long as I'm here, of course I have to read everything and comment. It's impossible for me not to...I'm weak and this is more fun than work.

The reasons that I'm not sure that Liz takes Vanessa to F2 are simply based on what I've seen of Liz's play. She's smart enough to know she can't beat Vanessa. She doesn't think Steve has very many fans in the jury. And she knows how to say exactly what Vanessa wants to hear, and then she turns around and says Vanessa is lying. I've watched her do that.

So while I think she probably takes Vanessa if she wins, I don't think it's set in stone. Too much game to play, too much time for Steve to talk to her (she's not as immune to Steve. She knows the way Vanessa plays), and to top it off: THE TWINS ARE FLIPPY FLOPPY. Liz is part of the flippiest floppy twosome in the history of BB.

Vanessa should win the game. She's set the board up the way she wants it. But, in my opinion, she needs to win Part 3 to be absolutely certain because Steve's not taking her and Liz may or may not.

nonobadfish , I actually agree with you that Liz flip/flops, but, I don't ever remember her saying she could beat Steve. She wanted Jmac in the end game, and would have cut Vanessa for him in a heart beat. I think she has always been afraid of Steve winning, especially since Austin was as well. But.. the premise of my game for the weekend will not be what the HG's believe, but what the jury will actually do. My premise, Vanessa has put Steve and Liz in check, and if either stabs her out, they will lose in a 5-4 vote. And.... I have evidence. Some good, some not so good, but it will be fun to argue over what will the result, even if I hope that Vanessa wins out anyway, becoming for me, the most deserving woman winner since Maggie in S6.

I believe you are correct in saying Vanessa has to win Part 3 in order to win the game. She deserves to win, but if Steve wins Part 3 hoh, he is taking Liz. It is going to make me sick if that happens.

KeninVA , FIRST: Remember that juries aren't always your strong suit. Maybe this year is your year, though! Here's my thought on Liz: She may not have thought about taking Steve yet, but if she wins Part 2, Steve will start talking to her and spelling things out for her with his spin. He's not done that in the past because it's not the way he plays. But he'll have to now....and while she's used to Vanessa's spin, she has not heard Steve's and it could have impact. I'm not saying by any means that Liz won't take Vanessa. I do think that we won't know that for sure until the next few days are over and Steve's had a chance to talk.

Remember....I fully believe anyone who wins is 'deserving' to win that year, male or female. So I won't agree to whether Vanessa is the most deserving. But seriously....you think you're going to get an argument from me that Vanessa is the best female winner since S6? The only two female winners since then are Jordan and Rachel (neither my favorites), so Vanessa would definitely be my choice of best female winners since Maggie.

I think Vanessa beats Steve or Liz in F2. (The only thing that could happen to stop that is if Austin/Julia work the jury well. I don't believe that we can listen to what y'all heard the jury say on the last show...that's scripted too and has fooled me in the past. But I do think odds are high that the jury will vote for Vanessa if she's there unless something happens. Probably. Heck, you never know anything for sure with a BB jury)

I also think it's an absolute toss-up between Steve/Liz and that Liz would be smart to take Steve. In my view, Steve has JMac for certain. Liz has Julia/Austin for certain. Shelly/Vanessa/Meg/James/Jackie/Becky are all toss up votes when it comes to Liz/Steve.

And I think anyone of them could win Jury Statements (if that indeed is the comp). I know Vanessa thinks she's got that on lock, but that comp is random some years, and you simply never know. And since I don't think TPTB have a preference who wins this year, it won't be geared in anyone's favor.

Everything points to it being Vanessa's game. But there are still a lot of things that could go wrong, enough that I bet Vanessa hits manic stage before too long. (Good thing I'm out this weekend because we all know how much I love Vanessa's mania. Sheesh. I want her to win, but she's way easier to pull for when I'm not looking at her.)

Go Vanessa if you stay calm! (No more Manic Vanessa, okay?) Or Go Steve. Or Go Liz. (I'm wishy washy and finding it hard to care since JMac left) I'm out...seriously. It's much more fun here than work, but I've got to focus. Hugs to everybody.

Well if Vanessa were to vote against whoever stabs her out - than that makes HER the bitter jury member. You tell me she wont vote on game play?

Yeah, Tina. If Vanessa were really going to do that after ALL the betrayals she has committed, she could add CERTIFIED BAD SPORT to her BB resume.

It's hard to believe that she would want to go down in BB history for that.

I don't agree with KeninVA here, I think if Vanessa is evicted in F3, she will vote for whoever can better articulate themselves during their speech which would include giving her credit for most of the season's gameplay, and stating why evicting her was also gameplay and should mean a win. I think Steve has the best chance to get her vote even if he stabs her in the back, while Liz might have a small chance to sway Vanessa's vote to her, if she preps well for it, and includes how she is only in the F2 because of Vanessa.

Liz needs to remember that Vanessa is the one who guaranteed that one of she or Julia would go home -- by giving Julia the fishy advice which stopped the triplets from being able to all be safe.


Liz has got to remember that she is playing this game for three.



But she already threw HOH part one to Vanessa. And she has shown herself willing to return to Vanessa over and over and over after every new realization of how Vanessa has beguiled them.


I don't think she really wants to win the game. She's probably sure she can't, and she'd rather Vanessa win than Steve.
