Morning geo, and all who follow,

No real change in the house. Clay/Shelli are more visible as a target, and Vanessa has been pushing the Liz/Austin showmance angle, to create bigger targets for next cycle. Jmac named Audrey/Liz as potential targets, to Vanessa yesterday, which was a first for me. (Jmac has been reluctant to tell anyone, even Jeff, who he would nominate if he was HoH.) The same three potential votes for Jeff today, as yesterday (Jackie for sure, Jmac probably, Audrey the wildcard). Jeff will continue to wiggle to get off the hook, and very probably will burn Shelli/Clay to the ground in the process.

KeninVa, Thx for the insight into Vanessa's game moves. She just had a talk with Austin about Liz liking him. I felt sorry for him.

Glad to see Jeff making an effort, but sadly he put his trust in Clay and doesn't see the knife Clay is sliding into his back.

Clay & Shelli are such an obvious target as a pair, but have operated pretty smoothly keeping their friends close and creating no angry enemies. Clays confrontation w/Ta ended not just w/her leaving but the house convinced she needed to go. Very slick. Right now they're in the lead, but w/this crazy house they could be blown up. Their partnership w/Vanessa & Austin could be strained by the craziness of those two. But their warm acceptance of Liz/Julia assures two more allies and they've got ties to several others.

I'm sure Jason, John, & Steve know the danger of a strong pair, but only Jason hasn't been sucked into their orbit. Can Jason gather an army against Clay & Shellis march to the sea? Always possible, but I have doubts. Of course, tomorrow I'll be like the HGs and have a totally new opinion when the new HOH insanity begins.

Just putting another marker down. Now that the survivor 2nd chance cast is back, Probst will host a takeover late in the game, as a way to hype the next season. His twist will be a hidden immunity idol that cancel's all eviction votes cast against that player. It will only be played after the vote. It will have to be kept hidden, similar to the Diamond PoV. At the later stages of the game, it would be a tool to preserve both nominee's on the block, if they have a good enough social game. If the holder can get all the votes, no eviction happens. If it is a split alligence eviction, then the trick is to get the non-holder to have at least one vote. If no one goes home, TPTB throw in a late game double eviction to sweep the house down.

Back when Austin, Vanessa, and Liz were talking about bringing in new people to protect Liz/Julia, I got the sense that even though Steve liked Clay, he didn't want to be aligned with the Clay/Shelli duo. He kept bringing up JMac, Becky, and Jackie (post Jeff eviction) as potential numbers for their side. I think Steve sees them as a threat, he just knows he's not in the power position so he can't bring it up. Plus he knows the other side is gunning for him, hence it's too early since he needs them as numbers. Good thing he didn't say anything because Austin/Liz/Vanessa were already aligned with Clay/Shelli. Speaking up might have put a target on his back.

just some thoughts. I haven't watched a lot of LF's or read a lot of LFU's, but I have a few general observations about some players. I've seen more of some than others, so my views are weighted to the ones I know best.

doesn't Austin have a girlfriend? is that an issue with the showmance thing with Liz? I haven't been able to watch much lately - or post in LFU's.
Austin really reminds me of my cousin. OK so my cousin was a marine, he's blonde with a short haircut, and now he's a cop and about 40 yrs old. BUT, they have the same mannerisms and are kind of goofy in the same way, and my cousin is a big guy, about 6'4" and muscly and looks very intimidating but can be a big lovable lug.

I like that Austin isn't afraid to let the girls paint his fingernails all different colors. I guess he's comfortable enough with his manhood to show a little girly side. And I did listen to one "podcast" where Jeff came off as a despicable misogynistic womanizer and Austin sounded sweet and a little vulnerable.

I didn't see this on LF's or LFU's but i did see on the show - was Austin really that oblivious to the Liz/Julia thing?

I think Johnny Mac is pretty awesome. I saw his guitar playing on youtube, I think someone posted it here at one point and he is SO GOOD and so unique in his style. I think he is way smarter than people give him credit for since he seems like such a goofball. His Bobcat Goldthwait style of talking puts me off when he does DR sessions, but in normal conversations in the house he seems much more laid back. Smart that he noticed the dental work or lack thereof on the twins. he probably always looks at people's teeth, but it was still a good observation.

Vanessa...hmmm. I still like Vanessa. She's a little more dramatic than I thought she would be, but she does hold it together pretty well. I did expect that she would keep some things closer to the vest, listen more, talk less. I think she is disappointed that no one recognized her from television. I guess people that watch poker and keep up with the players are a certain subset of the population. I mean, no one recognized that crazy "celebrity" last season even though he was a SOCIAL MEDIA MOGUL and related to a famous girl that apparently hates America. Oh and had MILLIONS of followers on twitter/youtube/whatever. Even though I've seen poker/watched poker/played poker, I have seen Vanessa in some commercials and in the WSOP, but I probably wouldn't have recognized her because you don't hear her talk much and she is always wearing a hat/sunglasses/hoodie or something on television. She almost - well sort of did spill the beans to Day a little bit telling her she was a professional gambler. I wonder what Day thinks about it now that she knows who/what Vanessa is.

For some reason, Shelli just bugs the crap out of me. maybe it's because she looks like Danielle?

I still know nothing about Becky except that she was hit by a train.

Clay is such a doofus. he just bugs me. it's not even fun to look at him really. he was big fish little pond at aTm and thinks he still is. he's very overconfident from what little i've seen. he thinks his good looks will get him far.

Jeff. Good lord, he is such a jackhole. way overconfident. I don't remember him bugging me so much on TAR but they have much more limited screen time and they are too busy and frantic to get a good read on them.

Jackie will do much better if Jeff goes home. I wonder if she knows that Jeff is going around telling the other guys in the house that it was so easy to get her to bed? If she wanted a relationship with him like Jeff said, she could be hanging on way too much and also closing herself off to other people in the house. Hopefully Jeff will leave tomorrow night and we'll get to see what she's really like.

Steve. Hmm. he annoys people, but i think he's really smart.

James - i liked him at first. still do I guess.

Liz/Julia - I like them even though they sound totally valley girl.

Oh, duh, Audrey! she is a manipulative wench. She reminds me of Amanda. Tell me again why everyone was so afraid to vote out Amanda? they were afraid of the repercussions? well if they would have all stuck together and voted her out, she'd be out. They need to get rid of Audrey before jury. I liked Audrey at first. and her strategy to turn everyone against each other will either work or blow up. Actually it did blow up and there were no consequences for her. why not? Are they really afraid to vote her out because she is transgender? they don't want to hurt her feelings? Boohoo. If what she wants is to be treated like everyone else is treated and be seen as a person and have equal rights, that gives her equal rights to be ousted IMO. I mean seriously, no one would be sad if she left and keeping her around to be a target is just a dumb move. if it were me, there is NO WAY IN HELL i would tell her ANYTHING, EVER!! I hope Vanessa is not being sincere with her and just manipulating her back. She is the scorpion in a house full of frogs willing to give her a ride across the stream.

Jason...probably the least annoying gay boy in a while. has Audrey totally pegged, hopefully if he wins HOH he will get her out of there. His Boston accent isn't too annoying, I think the way he says "squirrel" is funny.

Meg - i know nothing except she's a pawn and tries to stay on everyone's good side. she doesn't seem big city NYC, she seems like a small-town girl. she has a small-town girl look.

I wish we watchers had a vote on noms & evicts. Liz should go before she's a BOGO. Audrey should voted out before jury, since she could be a poison pill in there. Clay & Shelli need to be busted up since they're a dangerously effective duo.

Then I wanna put a bug in James and Jason's ears and tell them it's time the flip the house and take out any of the above. Wanna see a free-for-all, not a cakewalk to the end. I wanna be sitting on the end of my chair in anticipation each Thursday. Don't want to yell at the HGs "Wake up & smell the coffee" like I did last year w/Derrick.

Feel protective of Steve and have come to adore Johnny Mac for his smarts & funny comments, despite his vocalizations. Want to like Becky, but realized it's because she hasn't done anything to annoy me yet.

Like KeninVA' s guess on Probst tie-in. Funny, but I had forgotten about the Survivor retreads season coming up. Found I couldn't remember most of those chosen to play. So many names & faces fade from all the shows, though events get triggered in my antique memory cells.

Hopefully the next takeover will be better than the first three which dudded out, not affecting much game play. Ken's idea would be nifty.

KeninVA Sorry, I just don't see TPTB as being smart enough to think of your idea for Jeff Probst, although I love your plan. I think JP will be used for something as boring as announcing the game for the evictees who get to play to come back in (2nd chance). Yawner, I know.

Purr, of course you are probably right. I never get the twists right. But at this point, 3rd year in a row, to bring back an evictee does not feel like a twist anymore. An alternate twist would be open voting. Remove a player from the block, and no replacement. HG's can vote for the sole nominee, or anyone who is not safe from PoV win/PoV pull down, or HoH.

Impressions on the relationship between Clay and Audrey? I don't have the feeds so I can only go by what I read. And what I read comes across as her being quite douchey to him. And him reacting defensively. But maybe now upping his game a little in response to her doucheyness.

Anyone else think she's doing more than just good-natured ribbing with him?

Is she acting differently to him than she does to Shelli? In a way which would suggest she wants him out and Shelli to stay?

I think Audrey has a crush on Clay and really likes Shelli. She wants to be in an alliance with them but doesn't want to be at the bottom of it.

We may find out soon just where Audrey really stands. Vanessa made a final 2 with her.

I'm curious, is it true that some of the HGs are trying to help Liz and Julia so that they make it in past week 5 and both enter the game?

            If so... Why?

Why would they want to bring in a strong (twin) couple when they are supposed to evicting people? Having another come in is just one more standing in the way of the others winning the money?

If they do this, and both twins come in, I'd laugh my butt off if they both make it to F2/3 and one of them wins the game.

I think they are think that the people being evicted right now are in sequester. They would rather keep the goofy twins in the house who they can control rather than getting Day or Jeff or even Jace back in the house.

I think there's 2 layers to Audrey vs Clay. One is certainly game play to push Clay & Shelli apart. But, I'm sure jocks like Clay would bully her in school, so she has pre-conceived resentment. And I think he may be uncomfortable w/her being trans. On top could be just clash of personality tied to Clays distrust, but tolerance of her game play of lies & stirring the pot. They may end up as reluctant allies when other options are gone, thinking of Jun & Alison, season 4's disliked final duo. But I suspect when the right timing occurs, one will take the other out. No friendship will form.
